Storing 12 x 12 paper

Okay I have got all of my 8.5 x 11 paper in hanging files, but I need a good CHEAP solution for my 12 x 12 paper. I cannot afford a cropper hopper and I prefer a system like the hanging files so I don't have to rummage through all my paper while it is laying flat and end up tearing and bending it. Any good suggestions? I even have wood available if anyone has a good wood storage idea. Penny

Penny funny you should ask that question I was just out today looking for the same thing. The cropper hopper is alot of $$$$$$. I checked out Office Max but they only have the small letter size holders with a handle. I did see a large plastic tub that had the side rails for hanging folders but the thing was huge, i have alot of 12x12 paper but not that much! I think my 60lb dog would fit in it LOL I will keep hunting around and let you know if I find something. Also, I don't know where to get the 12x12 hanging folders do you? I know the scrap stores have them for the hopper but Office Max didn't. I prefer the hanging system keeps everything neat. Currently I use that accordion type file box which is Great if you don't have tons of paper.

This isn't a hanging folder solution, but maybe you could buy an artist's portfolio. they have the redish paperboard type that aren't very expensive and they come in different sizes.
Just had a thought (oh, no!). There's are 1, 2 and 3 inch box bottom hanging folders. They come folded in half and you have to crease the fold, but if you left it the way it comes in the box, it may solve your problem.

Exactly what rocketmomkd said. Just about any tile size from 1" up to as large as tiles get can be used in a kitchen. It just depends on what look you want and what tile you like. Certainly less grout is probably easier to clean, but I wouldn't be worried about that with 12x12s. Seal your grout before you begin using the kitchen and that should help prevent staining. I also do not see a problem with having a bathroom with larger tile. And honestly, I imagine if the rooms aren't adjacent you won't even notice that the 13x13s are larger than the 12x12s.

Michelle, Go to the site below and go to suppliers. Look for 'Generations' they have a accordion style one, also go to 'Cropper Hopper' they have a heavy duty plastic one that you put hanging files in so you can label them. Both are very nice, I started with the Generations and upgraded to the Cropper Hopper. Hope that helps. Most LSS carry these also, along with Michaels and Hobby Lobby. My scrapbooking friends envy me. My mother passed away about a year ago and I got about $2000 that I wanted to spend in some way to remember her. So I had custom cabinets made (desk height with drawer base units and upper wall cabinets) and changed a third bedroom into a scrapbooking and sewing room. One wall section is about 7 feet and I have it set up for scrapbooking and the other wall is about 5 feet and it is for sewing. I had the cabinets custom made because I am short and the only readymade cabinets I could find would have had to be kitchen counter height or vanity height and those wouldn't have been the full 2 feet deep. I'm already running out of space though, and I think it might have been wiser to get a utility type cabinet to store paper and and larger items in. The only bad thing is I seem to be addicted to scrapbooking and buying more. I guess I better get busy scrapbooking all those pictures mom had! I enjoyed seeing/hearing what areas other people had. I used 8x11 for my kids books but now am thinking about 12x12 because you can fit more pics on a page. Most pics come 4x6 and sometimes you don't want to crop the pic down, so you use 4 pages for one birthday party instead on one. I used to use 3x5 pics but most places only offer 4x6. I am always thinking of cost and would rather put my money in the book rather than storage/supplies. I would suggest an expando folder for paper. Not sure if you can store 12x12 though?
