Backsplash...I have to start over and I'm bummed out!!

So I picked a backsplash and didn't have that hard of a time once I found the tile place that carried it. Sonoma Tilemakers Stellar 4x8 crackle tile in mist. This tile turned out to be about $20/sf AND has a 6-8 week lead time. Plus the amount of tile I needed ended up being around 42 sf instead of 25-30 like I thought. I just cannot justify spending almost $1000 on a backsplash.

Now here I am less than a month from moving in with no backsplash. I'm heading to two places I haven't been before and crossing my fingers. I can't think I'll find another tile that's a perfect gray'ed down muted blue green, much less a crackle. All the other blue greens I saw were just too vibrant. I guess I'll end up with white? Carrara was too cool-gray and busy with my White Macaubus quartzite even though it's just on the island and it's going against leathered absolute black and white cabinets.

I don't know why I'm posting. I guess just to vent mostly.
