Ladder with adjustable legs for picking fruit?
Comments (11)Thanks for the advice. I see on ebay i can buy an Adjustable LegExtension Ladder Leveler for $99 that will fit any ladder leg as an add on. I was told to look in paint stores for adjustable ladders legs which i may try tomorrow. Bruce, i think i am going to try your approach that way the ladder will work on any terrain. Looks like i can get an 8 foot tripod via Lowes for $200 and make the sleeves. Now if i can just manufacture a rated ladder like Bruces', get it to also scare away birds and squirrels, then i can make a living in the fruit business!...See MoreStep ladder reformed

Comments (12)Little Giant is the original of the multi-use ladders and are very well made and useful. I am not that impressed with the Gorilla, which doesn't seem to be as well done. Some of the Gorillas I have seen even made you use a separate reinforcing clamp when you separated the halves for using as a scaffold. I wound up getting a Cosco "worlds greatest ladder", which seems to be as well built as the Little Giant, but in the price of the Gorilla. I have used it for 5 years, a lot, with no problems at all. Werner also makes a similar ladder, which uses a different design to hold on the rungs and other connetions. It doesn't look as sturdy as the others, but I have never actually been on one....See Morebig ladder
Comments (6)Little giant is a step ladder/extension ladder combination that also can be made into a scaffold. It's great for working on stairwells as a step ladder because each side adjusts independently. As an extension you can get a stabalizer bar and leg leveler for working on uneven terrain. The biggest residential i believe is a 17' step ladder/26' extension. The down side is (i own a 17'/26'as well as a 7'/13') is that they are weighty and a little akward to navigate around but proved invaluable on our build.Got ours off of ebay but amazon.com carries them as well....See Moremike_in_kc
