There is a product called "Kiss-Off" that works wonders on marker and paint. It comes in a stick sort of like a glue stick. It is available at art supply stores and other places. I have gotten paint and leaky pen out of clothing. You wet the spot, rub the stick on it and let it dry. Sometimes it takes more than one application. Here is a link that might be useful: Kiss-Off

Tina, what company do you use? We have Terminix for both termite and pest control. They generally do the outside spraying and inside only when asked. I ask. lol. It was on our news last week that Oklahoma has a massive amount of BW's and fiddlebacks due to the heat, it's worse than usual. They can craw in the tiniest crack under a door, it's awful. Found a new use for the magic eraser! Yesterday I hand washed the porcelain tile in the utility room where the pets are fed (today is the kitchen), and of course they make huge messes with water mixing with dust. On the cream colored tile there were a few spots that wouldn't come up very good, along with dirt in the grout. The eraser did wonders, especially for the grout! I only had to do a few tiles with the eraser, and since there is no shine on the tile, I didn't worry about removing anything.

Armstrong makes a Commercial Floor Cleaner S-485 specifically for cleaning linoleum floors. Have you tried that? I used ther SatinKeeper immediately after my Marmorette was installed and I haven't had any skuffing or scratching. Maybe you could try the cleaner and then put on their Satinkeeper floor finish (they also make a Shinekeeper with a higher gloss) to minimize future wear and tear. As for gouges, my installer showed my how to shave off fine slivers of linoleum from leftover pieces by taking a knife and scraping against a linoleum edge. He said you could make a paste with the slivers and glue and use it to fill in spots. I haven't tried it but perhaps you could practice on some leftover tiles and see if it helps.

Looked around the web... How to hint found was Murphy's Oil soap. Love/hate relationship with that product! You Will Need: Murphy’s Oil Soap Towels Washcloths Water Laundry detergent Old toothbrush Start by folding the towel and placing it inside of the shirt, so that the marker stained area is resting above the towel. The towel will serve two purposes, to keep the liquids from draining through to the other side of the shirt, and to provide a surface for the marker to transfer to. Pour a small amount of Murphy’s Oil Soap onto the marker stain. Blot the area with a clean cloth. As you are blotting, the marker will transfer to the cloth. Turn the cloth often so that a clean surface is always being used. It may be necessary to turn the cloth inside of the shirt as well. If needed, use an old toothbrush, or other soft brush, to gently scrub the area. Once the stain is removed, launder the garment as you normally would.
