recycling forum - is there one?

Is there a forum regarding recycling ideas and thoughts on GardenNet? I can't seem to find anything that seems to fit the bill.

I don't know what kind of recycling you are interested in, but there is the Composting Forum for turning garbage into rich compost for the garden/lawn, and the Garden Junk Forum to make items out of stuff that would be thrown away in a landfill and you might get ideas there for repurposing items to be thrown out, into something else that can be used in the home. Also check the Frugal Gardener Forum too.

When you say you can't find anything to 'fit the bill' what exactly are you looking for? Maybe a more detailed question will bring you the answer you seek.

Yes, there is a fairly new "Going Green Forum here.

Once there, you will find links to Permaculture, Organic Gardening, Soil-Compost and Mulch, Frugal Gardening, and Renewable Energy for the Home.

Srewolf, I spent a couple of weeks trekking across the Owen Stanley Ranges. From memory, found the M. ingens somewhere around the 1800 to 1500 metre ASL range. The locals said they were "Bush Bananas" and no good for eating. I managed some photos but it was difficult as the forest was a bit too dense. You couldn't get a large plant in the camera view finder. The giant Pandanus in that area was mindblowing as well, P. brosimos. If you google that some of my photos show up on internet forums. PNG is certainly different. I absolutely loved it. But there are dangerous parts to it, probably much the same as in the US. Some parts are absolutely great. I spent a bit of time in Madang (on the north coast) and the people are great and really friendly. You can wander around at night, the biggest danger is tripping as street lighting is very poor to non-existant and the footpaths and roads poorly maintained. Places like Port Moresby and Lae can be a bit dangerous if you go into the wrong areas. If you do go there you just need to check out about area you want to go to. The latest edition of Lonely Planet on PNG is really good.

I think you can search just the forum you're reading in, if you notice and select the drop down choice in the gray box that appears while you're typing. Or, it seems to work for me that way. For example, I'm reading in Kitchens, and I type "week" in the search box. While I'm typing it, a drop down box appears right under the search box, giving me the options to search in Kitchens, or Advice, Photos, Find a Pro, etc. When I search for "week" just in the Kitchens forum, I get a pretty clean list of your good threads, CEFreeman. Dunno if this helps?

Most of them didn't go anywhere. but they are still lurking here because I got messages after the post. It is so different here. Thanks Debra.I will try that.I have been to a lot of places looking for help all day, since noon and havegot no where.It has me pulzzled as whats the problem.I have never had a memorycard fill up so fast before either.I have always used a 2gb card, but the lady at wal mart put a 8MG in the camera. said they don't carry the 2 or the 4MG no moreshe had put a 8mg in it when I bought it, so figured it be ok.I always bought a new card each year, & each years blooms be together on one. card.Looks like this card will not be used if I cant find out whats wrong.I was leary about getting a Nikon camera anyway,as my thers were cannon and Kodak. never a problem with them. I will go to this site andsee what I find out anyway, Thank you.I had some beauties blooming this morning, but couldn't take pictures. jean

Also, check out the Organizing the Home forum here. Lots there about decluttering and what to do with "stuff" that is no longer needed or wanted. Great group.

Freind you have not mentioned which recycling ideas are you talking about ...whether you want to recycle for soils , plants fertilizers???
