Welcome Jen! FlutteringBy did a great job on answering your questions. I am not familiar with Photo Shop Elements either. I did try Photo Shop and found the learning curve much higher than PSP and seemed to do most of the same things. I prefer PSPX, it is what I am used to now. I did the trial of PSPXI but didn't see enough difference between that or X. So I don't feel the need to upgrade. I think you probably would benefit by updating to at least X as a lot of the tuts are now being written for PSPX. Not that they can't be done in earlier versions, it just makes it easier to follow if you have a more recent version and the newer ones have more features. Just don't un-install PSP7 as the newest PSP's do not come with animation shop. And you may still want to use PSP 7 for some things. It does load quicker than PSPX. I still have 7,9 and PSPX installed. One good way to find tut sites is to check the posts, I as do most others here list the site that they came from and you can just go to the bottom of the tut (in most cases) and find the index or home page of the author for the rest of the tuts. Depending what type of tubes you are looking for I have several tube sites that I just couldn't do without. Let me know and I will send you some. Carol

Hi Jen, I have 7,8,9,X, & XII. I absolutely hated 8 and uninstalled it as soon as 9 came out. Can't say I gave 9 a lot of time as by the time I got it X was available. I really liked X but always looking for something better I decided to upgrade to XII. Love it!!! I like the dark color of the workspace better than the others. I checked and all versions after 7 have the feature you are looking for with the different size image templates, new image, presets. Urlee is right about the time it takes to load the later versions, PSP 7 is really quick in comparison. Here is what XII workspace looks like. [ Carol

Sorry I had to leave for a few minutes I can better show U the problem. Until today the red would have filled the whole NEW layer I added on.. I added a new layer.. sent it to the bottom & it would have covered the bottom layer..Now U can see what it is doing. I used red so it was easier to see. I don't know why. I sure would like to get it so it would do the same as before again but how? I have also added one done in PSP8 which is how it should do in 9 but isn't. I put purple so it would be easier to see again. Dar

Joy - thanks for answering - and I found it! After seeing your offer, I went back to the tutorial - read it carefully to make sure I had the right one, and sure enough - I was supposed to look for it under the name of "Distort"....and it was where it should have been. I put it in the Toadie folder and was looking there of course...so looked under the regular plugins and there it was! Arrrrgh - I can be sooo dense sometimes. This is the tutorial - hope I get time to try it soon, now that I've found the plugin! http://bunnysattic.com/tutorials/gerberaandfreesiatag.html Elaine http://bunnysattic.com/tutorials/gerberaandfreesiatag.html\\
