Have you tried Chelsea grey? It's warm dark grey. It reads a tiny bit brown rather than green.

Black. Its more period and no matter what you do in the future will always look good. Dark sashes improve the appearance of the windows as negative space on the facade. Black interior sashes also practically disappear when you look out the window (try it - look out a white framed window and a black framed window - see which one you notice and which one is practically not there.) Finally, white tends to look cheap - vinyl-looking, as you said. And why let a vinyl window company decide what color your windows are for you? Aw comeon folks, theres a vast array of possibilities between leaving it as is and just wimping out and choosing white or gray. Im not crazy about the current colors as is - but I think you could tweak what you have and have something a lot fresher I would delve more into the browns/beiges + red accents, or browns/beiges + gold accents. Its not the colors necessarily that are problematic -- more like the proportions of ea of them which comes off more as a "riot of color" vs a more balanced scheme. Google 60-30-10 rule - has to do with proportions of color in interior design.. Also I agree with what someone else said about accent wall - painting all your walls the same color wll help pull it together visually vs. breaking up the space. Usually but not always the wall color is the 60% proportion referred to above so if you break up the wall colors too much that can make a space look too chaotic visually. Unless theres some specific architectural reason to paint an accent wall, usually they dont do much good in a room

they don't do plain old gray screens anymore? do you have a pic of what it looks like w/the black or the white screens? also, remove those shutters. they don't work at all on the large window, and are useless on the smaller window.
