I wonder if 'Savannah Sunset' is a real, cutting propagated cultivar, or some branding scheme someone invented for seedlings? A web search shows it rated at zone 8 by various nurseries, but, do these actually prove to be hardy in the PNW? My understanding is only L. leonurus comes from elevation in South Africa - the rest of the species have a more tropical distribution. And even for that one, Plant Delights says it takes a special form to be zone 8 hardy. I like wallpaper and I have used it as an accent wall. But the placement of the wallpaper is wrong, and it doesn't look like the background matches the paint color which makes it look even more off. Especially that strip in front of the bed is just wrong. I guess what also bothers me is the house is very victorian, so if you are going to wallpaper, it should be done more completely so it better echoes the past. Yes it did lead to very dark rooms, but if that's what you're going for, then do it. Otherwise, especially if you're selling, don't go there. And don't get me started on those awful blue cabs in the kitchen. Ugh.

I like interesting lampshapes until I turn them on. (Unless they are opaque and the light doesn't affect what is covering the shade, and what is covering the shade does not affect the light coming out of the lamp. The color of light that comes through the shade above works well with the room in this case, but in my opinion some decorative shades don't cast a very clean light, so I am usually stuck with white if they are translucent.

I haven't gone out to try any on - however, I am going to post a few photos of my own rings - and the shapes that I like the most (including an elongated cushion type one) + on my hand in order to show finger size/length. There are many women who are wearing engagement rings with HUGE diamonds/gems - I will not be one of those women. I know lab diamonds have contributed to the many large stones. However, that's just not my style. My last engagement ring was about 2.25 cts (radiant) - I felt that size was more than enough for my finger (I wear a size 5.25). I really liked emerald cut diamonds - I almost had a three stone one for my last engagement ring (larger emerald in middle with smaller emerald side stones) - but decided on the radiant one instead. I am really torn between step cuts and brilliant cuts. I have more thoughts - however, it's late and I need some sleep. I'll post photos tomorrow. Thank you for all of the congratulations! 💕
