Yea Andy It's actually very surprising to have such a long streak of 80ish plus with the amount of rain we have had-some days even with heavy rain it would stay in the upper 70s while it rained and the sun would come out for a few minutes and we would pop 80-then more rain then back to the 90s= truly a tropical summer. "Cooler" weather coming-next week I can actually stand outside and look at my plants for a change-looking forward to it! We are so lucky to have had the rain we have had,I think I watered 3 times this year and that's amazing considering the hot temps! Already almost 5" of rain this month and 36-40" since May 1- unbelievable growth this year!

The temps seem fine. Dry wind is a bit tough to deal with, but I've resigned myself to letting the plants 'deal with it' rather than babying them. So they can look just awful by the end of the day, but if the soil is moist, they will pick up overnight. Then the stems and what not toughen up to deal with the stress. I have a several hanging pots full of petunias that are getting this treatment. That said, some of my tomatoes look just awful, and haven't picked up the next day, so they'll have to grow a new set of leaves. And there are a few geranium branches out and about that broke off. So I'd suggest you leave them out in the wind and just make sure that the soil is moist so they can recover. Later in the summer, when the wind gusts from thunderstorms come around, they'll be tough enough to deal with it. and keep your fingers crossed......

You have 3 issues here. Leaning cage: It is easy to fix it. . Drive 2 or 3 stakes next to it and tie them to cage. Make sure the stake are rigid and strong themselves. They don't need to be as tall as the cage. up to the seccond ring should suffice.. their purpose is to hold the cage . Cage Not Tall Enough. you can do a couple of things; let the branches drape after they reach the top of cage. Top them. make some kind of extension for the cage: By tying 3 -4 piece of say 2by 1 lumber, to extend couple of feet above the top of cage. Then weave them together ( as a cylindrical net) The cage is TOO full. Well, that is a different issue. A vigorous plant will keep growing side branches and even the side branches will grow their own side branches, creating a little jungle. It is up to you to (1) take a proactive role as the gardener or (2) just let them do their own thing. You have choices Sey
