My crown matches the white wall cabinets, but I have a cherry island and a hutch as well as a wall of blue cabinets. We put the white crown there too. The reason we kept it all white was to match the kitchen trim to the adjoining breakfast and family rooms. So we have some that is different on the blue wall, but we kept the trim the same ass the rest of the house. Probably doesn't help you much.

How separate is your kitchen? Is there a clear dividing line to make a change from white to stained if you paint it?

All of the trim in our house is painted white, so we will probably paint the kitchen trim to match whatever white we use for the cabinets when we remodel. If we decide to paint the cabinets a color other than white, we'll leave the trim the same color white as the rest of the house.

However, if my trim were stained, I wouldn't feel the need to paint it, in fact, I would prefer that it match the trim in the rest of the house. I think stained wood trim looks beautiful with white cabinets.

There is a wood trim entryway dividing my dining room and kitchen. The painter suggested that we only paint the entryway side that faces the kitchen and keep the other side natural woodwork to match the rest of the house.

While I like the look of natural woodwork, the condition varies considerably throughout my entire house unfortunately.

Does anyone have any pictures of their kitchen with white cabs/white trim or white cabs/natural wood trim? That would help me make up my mind!
