Toni, if you're concerned, you can always have your attorney send a cease & desist letter to him, to stop this person's threats. Sorry to hear that. I would not put much stock in these threats. He would have to have a lot of dinero to be able to follow through, and file suits against all the people who have entered negative feedback comments on Garden Watchdog about his company. As long as you have proof to back up your comments, I wouldn't give this another thought. You always have the right to counter-sue to recover your loss, btw. This person would have been told this by his attorneys, that he risks a counter-suit right then and there if he takes someone to court and the court finds in favor of the defendant. Not sure if would want to risk that. I'm not an attorney, but checking with an attorney could certainly give you a bit of piece of mind. Patty S.

Thanks for the link; I'll check it out later. How are the free e-journals progressing? Are the editorial standards as vigorous as for the top-flight print journals? Springer also offers a sort of "best of..." service, in my case I chose Crop Science, articles garnered from an array of their journals. Unfortunately, the notification is monthly and fewer than a dozen articles are posted to me with each email. I had better response from BioMedNet and other similar sites. At one point I received email notifications of a half dozen journals from Springer and could access abstracts. Too often abstracts were not available so I could only access the first line or two of the papers at best. Not very useful or enlightening.

While you're logged into the online version, you might look in "Options->Mail Options->POP & Forwarding" for this: It presents you three options in a drop-down like this: Don't download spam emailDownload spam with no special indicatorsDownload spam, but prefix the word "Spam" I'm pretty sure I've never changed mine because I've never POP'd it down into a client so I would suspect 'Download spam, but prefix the word "Spam"' was the default at the time my account was created. Maybe it wasn't when yours was created? In any event, if I were POPing it down, I'd most likely select either of the two options beginning with "Download".

I definitely could and would delete it with out opening it. I have NO facebook and NEVER will however I get emails supposedly from face book about my account and related junk again I HAVE NO ACCOUNT!! It is all BS. Opening suspicious emails leads to trouble. Facebook is one of the easiest sites to hack it does not matter how secure your password is written. The code that facebook is written with is sloppy and they don't really care because after all they don't care about privacy that has been their stance all along. To see for yourself simply go to google and search hack facebook the directions are right there. Here it is in fact if you just type the word hack in the google search box the first option that pops up is hack facebook! That is how often it is searched that it is number one in the results. hack Facebook they even have nice little youtube videos to help you see how to do it.
