Sorry, it's Angel Face. This rose drives me nuts. It was one I inherited from my mom so it has sentimental value but the dang thing is the worst black spot magnet in the bed. I don't know how it survives every winter because it spends half the season defoliated. But with all the loses I took this year this ones doing great. It's leafed out all over. I'd shovel prune it but mom loved it and I'm afraid she haunt me if I do lol. The blooms are lovely and the scent is fabulous, of course, so I guess I'll hang on to it.

Marsha, Can't really tell if those are 30s repro prints, colors are similar, but I don't think I would use 30s prints in my version of SBS. I would use medium pastels not super pale pastels. I love the border! And figured out that it is probably two 3-inch 9-patch blocks, one on top of the other consisting of HST patches, solid white patches, and 1 center square in each block. So simple, but so pretty! I may be getting the book at some point. But I'm not sure if I would make an entire bed quit, maybe a wall hanging. I would give myself lots of leeway as to how often I sew a block. And if I didn't like a certain block, I would feel free to substitute with another block. I'm usually not hung up on reproducing something exactly, but changing it a bit here and there to suit my taste and color placement. And I have a trained puppy to snoop out the Quilt Police. ;o) Teresa

I was at our casino tonight and I was able to get some American money when I cashed out (lost overall but that is normal). So I can send the dollar. I am going to use someone else's idea of putting it in a greeting card, so postage won't be a problem either. I do thank you though for your generous offer. I think quilters are like that. They were ok for a first time. Made a mistake using too much chocolate for topping. Was thick and hard to cut through when firm. Had good success buttering pans then adding parchment and buttering that. I used apricot on one layer and raspberry on second layer. Next time I will use all raspberry, I think I prefer a stronger single flavor. I tasted a friend's rainbows the next day and her recipe was SO much better. More almond paste and topping was great. Will post recipe when I have it , if anyone interested.
