OK, here goes, advice appreciated: My sheets arrived today (I ordered them on the 16th, took 10 days). I thought one of the pillow cases and the fitted sheet seemed off color compared to the other 3 cases and the flat sheet. But I thought maybe its just me and into the wash they went, on warm with 2 Tbs Vaska detergent). Once they dried it was very obviously different. The fitted sheet is a dark slate gray and the others are a cocoa-y brown. They are also HORRIBLY wrinkled, I mean REALLY, REALLY wrinkled. I keep reading here about WE's wonderful customer service. Is this something I should pursue? I really don't want to have to spend $$ to ship back or go thru the bother. Suggestions? TIA, Cathi

Purchased Carlton Square Arm Occasional Chairs (2) and (1) Yountville 109" Sofa and Berkshire Coffee Table Ottoman all Made in China - which I don't particularly have an issue with - HOWEVER - upone delivery this week Major Quality problems IMHO one of the chairs is unbalanced ( really - the quality controls is that bad a $3K chair shows up and rocks back and forth on a flat surface ) Also the Ottoman is only 14" tall and 70 lbs when the specification on their website clearly states 16.5" height and 131 lbs - serious quality control problems - plus you get to wait over 1 hour to speak with a 2nd level customer service representative. Because the furniture is out of specification - I had to send in pictures and now I have to wait 1 week for some team of specialists to get back to me on these specification issues. Additionally the Berkshire Waterfall Coffee table - specifications on their website says it should weight 70lbs - only weighs 50lbs - Makes me seriously question the quality of the furniture - like the outsourced vendor in China is taking short cuts. I'm going to wait to see wait to see what this quality team has to say - but I think Williams Sonoma Home Furniture is overpriced and a SHAM - I'm about 90% I'm going to return it all on principle. The sofa and the chairs - do look nice - but how can you trust the long term quality of furniture that arrives with these types of issues. I would be interested in getting feedback from others - perhaps I'm over-reacting - but you spend $14k on furniture and wait for 6 months and this is what you get ? Pretty pissed off right now about it

Since you are a newbie my biggest piece of advice is to not rush it. I would spend a lot of time "shopping" and browsing photos of rooms you like. I would save 5-10 dining rooms. 5-10 bedrooms etc. Then study those pictures and really narrow down what it is you love in each photo. You will begin to see a pattern and in doing so you will learn your stye. Have you moved in yet? I highly suggest you get your furniture in place and snap some pictures of it in each room. Pictures are great because it makes you look at a space objectively. Then pull out your photos of favorite rooms and look at them side by side and think about what you could do with your room to make it closer to the ones you love. By choosing paint first it is going to greatly limit what you can use in that space. Rugs and furniture first. Walls , windows and art last. Get to work on that favorite file! You are on the perfect site to browse inspiration. Post some here and talk to us about them and then we can guide you. I can design your entire dining room in five minutes as can many here but you need to do a bit of homework to find out what the style you love is. Channel that excitement into doing this homework for yourself. It will make moving forward so much easier.

Yes it is actually a nursery dresser, which I did not realize until the box was delivered. I was looking for something to go with a vintage style iron bed and I liked the drawer pulls. I absolutely would not recommend it, however, because it weighs about 75 pounds and on the traction of the carpet I can’t even move it. The feet are terrible and I’m looking for bun feet to replace the ones that came with it. Assembly is a NIGHTMARE. It took a very experienced handy man about an hour and 45 minutes. It looks fine but is not really a “keeper” even for a rental unit.
