Sorry - it's "Crisp Green", not "Crisp Apple".

A friend of mine suggested sponging or ragging over the color with white. I also think that the rounded corners, esp. at the window, are problematic, and that the area around the window needs to be a different color (white?).

I would just paint over it. I don't think you'll be happy with ragging/sponging white over it. The hardest part of painting is the prep -the taping, priming, etc. You've already done that, so another coat is not going to be a big deal. If you use a quality paint, you shouldn't have a problem covering the color. There are a couple of threads on "greens" -you may want to check that first to see if you can get a lead on a better color.

Yeah. That is pretty green. I would agree with bestyears that it would be better to paint over it. I really like the idea o a green in there, but it is crazy how a vibrant color will bounce off the walls. I think you just need to "tone it down". I would move to a less intense color. I'm only looking online, but how about something like "key lime"? Behr sells samples. It might not be a bad idea to grab a few lighter greens and give them a try. Also remember, if you have a lot of cabinetry in there, if it is white, and the washer/dryer are white, you won't see so much wall color, so that in itself will help the "color in a box" situation a bit. It's so hard to pick colors off those little cards. What I've found works is find a color I like, then look for something that's about half strength that will read better on the walls. I agree with repainting, I don't think trying to tone it down with sponging is going to give you the look you're going for.

I agree with above posters, just paint over it. I am going through the same ordeal with my kitchen. I chose SW clary sage (mixed in Behr by HD). It just doesn't work with my kitchen. HD will not return customed mixed paint so I am eating the cost and starting over! Lesson learned for me, just buy a gallon to start instead of two like I did. Choosing paint is so hard! Your kitty is adorable...

When I painted my laundry room green I picked a color that I already had used in another room. It looked completely different as in ugly.

Thanks for the confirmation that it's just too much. ;) And isn't my kitten adorable? He was a big helper, too - sat on the same step I was on while I was painting, until I locked him out so I could finish that area.

I called the appliance delivery folks and was told they would be at my house at around 11:30 am. So, I ran over the HD and grabbed some primer and new paint...and JUST as they were mixing in the color, I got the call (at 10:35) that they'd be at my house in 15 minutes.

Rushed home, and beat them by about three minutes (small town = no traffic). That's when we discovered that our slab for the W&D is a bit too short - the feet for both appliances rest right at the edge, and these are about 4 inches longer than our former pair.

So, the color is the least of my concerns - now I have to make sure the appliances are balanced, and hope they don't wander...

When the room is finished, I'll post pictures. Could be a few days.

Oh - the color I chose - I really liked Key Lime on Behr's website (as someone above suggested), but I didn't like the paint chip at all. I opted for Carolina Parakeet, which is lighter than the current color, but still not a 'light' color. I think I can pull it off w/ white blinds, perhaps a white (or blue?) valance, and some black-framed pictures on the wall. And if not, I'm painting the room white again and getting colorful curtains. ;)
