contractor payment schedule?

We are doing a substantial addition and remodel with a GC selected after competitive bidding. The GC is essentially a one-man shop (owner with a couple of foreman and established stable of subs) who has done many projects of our magnitude (and larger) in the immediate neighborhood. We are very comfortable with him but want to be reasonably cautious - for example, if he gets hit by a bus halfway through our project we don't want to have committed too much cash. We are not looking to be unfair to the contractor but don't want something unfair to us.

Here is his proposed payment schedule. Can anybody comment on whether it is reasonable? Thanks
