Waterstone faucet - good quality?

We're looking for a filter faucet that will complement the look of the Grohe Minta faucet. We like the Waterstone Fulton filter faucet, but have no experience with Waterstone.

Does anyone here have a Waterstone faucet, and is it a good-quality faucet like a Grohe? Before we spend a few hundred dollars on a faucet, we'd like to know about the quality.

I have a Waterstone faucet, soap dispenser and hand spray. I think the quality is beautiful. I have the stainless finish. It is heavy duty stuff.

We have had our Waterstone faucet, side spray, and filter faucet (have not connected this yet) for about 6 months and really love them. They are beautiful, and the quality seems great so far. Ours is the Annapolis.

Ebse I got one of my faucets w/side sprayer for under $500 (normally $1200 w/side sprayer) on Ebay. It was something someone had purchased for a renovation and then changed their mind so it was brand new and I love it! It's by Waterstone and is polished nickel which I really love. Just be sure that whatever faucet you pick that it will fit into the space. Not just the base of the faucet (which I diligently checked), but also how far back and to the side it extends. We almost had a disaster with my "bargain" faucet when we realized that we might not be able to turn it all the way on because it was close to the backsplash and that the decorative finial on the back of the faucet might hit the window trim...yikes! Luckily it all worked out. I know someone on here had to have their trim cut to make it work, and you couldn't even tell, so I guess we could have done the same if necessary! Kat :)

A local kitchen and bath shop has a working model of the Gantry Towson faucet on display. Every time I was in their shop I always "tried it out." It appears to be a well made faucet, and its made here in CA. There's was in ORB and it looked good. I did notice a very,very,very teeney tiny chip on the finish at the bottom of the spout where the water comes out (maybe the thickness of your fingernail and 1/16" long, not much really). Don't know how it happened, it was on display for probably 2 years. I really liked the Gantry Towson but decided that at 32" high it would obstruct the view from my corner windows. If my sink was against a wall, like there's (awesome tile b/s), I would definetly go for it. I've been looking at faucets for a long time and after seeing the Towson again, I may just decide on it. I really like the articulating spout (12" & 18" reach) because I know how important it is for your back not to have to lean forward to rinse dishes, etc. Also, if you have a Tapmaster and have to leave the handle in the "on" position, it doesn't look weird like bridge faucet w/levers would look. I even called the company and talked with the owner's wife to feel more comfortable about the company. But you asked if Waterstone was a good company. I think so. They are noted for their water filteration systems. I've seen those displays in numerous kit & bath shops, even if the shop didn't have a display of the kit faucets. I know this is an older post but wanted to add my experience. I love my Chrome PLP modern faucet but I did have some initial issues with both my soap dispenser and pot filler. The soap dispenser was super wobbly when first installed, so I reached out to Waterstone. They shared that there were two options - a plastic sleeve or plastic o rings. We had received the sleeve and so they send us the o rings for free to try. They worked much better and were easy to install and no more major wobble. The second issue was with our pot filler. Once installed it was super hard to swing and made a horrible grinding/squeaking noise. I contacted waterstone and they said some stiffness was normal but suggested some silicone lubricant to help I tried lubricant and working the hinge but it just didn’t help and eventually they replaced it under the warranty. The new one was immediately easy to move and no grinding. So with that said like any company quality issues might happen but their customer service was great since they not only helped troubleshoot the problems but answered quickly and worked fast to get the replacement. I doubt many other companies would be as helpful and just feeling the weight of the fixtures tells you it’s good quality. I’ve also had no issues since and love my fixtures! I’ll probably take them with me whenever I move LOL

It depends of course - Is a Rolls that much better than a Mercedes or a Lexus? At least in my opinion, above a certain price point, you are not gaining in quality but subjective factors. If you can afford it and love it, go for it but I would consider it to be a use of discretionary income rather than a logical choice based on functionality and reasonable style. I'm currently remodeling and have made some expensive choices which are not driven solely by function but I do draw the line at a $4000 (or $12,000) faucet :-)

I just wanted to add that it can take a LONG LONG time to get some things out of Waterstone - and calling them as a consumer isn't very helpful, either - no information.

I ordered a faucet in satin chrome thru American Home Plus on 2/14/10 and I still don't have it as of 4/21/10. The soap dispenser I ordered thru FaucetDirect the same day ended up being backordered until June so I cancelled that.

The only thing I have received so far is the side sprayer ordered thru Fresh Water Systems.

We have the Waterstone Parche 1400 HC - Hot and Cold - faucet in black. It's only been running for about a week, but so far we are very happy with it.

I am in love with the Annapolis faucet for our new home. I would love to see photos of yours once installed. Which finish did you get and where did you order? I want either the bronze or copper finish but haven't decided which one. They have lots to choose from.

I'm happy to hear that everyone is satisfied with the quality.

homeagain - Our Annapolis faucet and other pieces are in a satin nickel finish. We had wanted the bronze, but it is a 'living finish' that will change over time, and we weren't sure that we wanted it to change or fade or patina, so we went with the satin nickel. We are very happy with its look and its quality. Here are a couple of pictures:
