Cream colors (most off whites fall into cream categories) and white/greys don't usually look good together. They make each other look dirty. Get a few pieces of the white marble tiles and get a door sample in your color. Bring them home to your kitchen, for your lighting, and put them next to each other and see what they look like they. If you see color like most people do, you're not going to think they look good together. Get a back splash that's warmer/beige in hue or a completely different color than white. That's just my opinion. Not written in stone.

I used statuary marble subways with my swirly charcoal counters and slightly cream cabinets. The marble is definitely cooler than the cabinets, but it has subtle veins of tan and gray that help tie everything together.

I believe Calcutta is a marble that has creamy veins running through it... warmer then carrerra. That might work for you.

remodelfla, I believe you're right and I forgot about that one. that would work if there were warm veins running thru the tile. abymas, try to see the diff. pieces together so you know before you buy them and have them installed though.

Thank you all for your input I feel better, I still don;t know what I will get for the backsplash but definitely something warmer, I still have some days to think about it. We scheduled to start a complet kitchen remodel in about a week. I hope everything goes well. Thanks again!!!
