NKOTB November birthday blocks (pic)

I've about run out of time to quilt this before the 18th so I'll post the way it is and at least you'll see my blocks.

With Lizzy dropping out, I was owed 7 blocks and made this design to use seven. Then, envelopes showed up with 2, 3, 4 and more. Fran's were so beautiful, the mailman decided to keep hers and she had to send another batch.

In any case, this is the result. My request was for 6" blocks in Xmas colors on white.

For names, start at the "friends" marker block and go clockwise:

Bill, Fran1523, Meima, Nanajayne, Meima, Deanna, Meima, Quilting Pirate, Woodenzoo, Nanajayne, Fran1523, QuiltingPirate, Nanajayne, Fran1523, Nanajayne, Meima, Woodenzoo. I even have one of Meima's left over for another project.

Aren't they wonderful? I think maybe the tree needs a star.

I absolutely love it - now I can see when you mentioned doing something special - it's wonderful.....
I'm so proud to see my blocks show up in everyone's projects since I'm a new quilter..

Michele - I finished your block this morning and thought it had a chance of still getting to you by Tuesday, so I sailed off to the p.o. to make sure of correct postage with the new rates. Well, I thought they were open until 11:30 on Saturday, but it seems they close at 11:00. I got there at 11:01 and everything was locked up tightly! Then I rushed home with the idea of just putting way too much postage on it and putting it in my box for pickup. I passed our mail carrier at the corner - so missed that chance too!! Hi macbeaner.. I just wanted to let you know that I received your block and it is beautiful... The next step is a photo but, I was hoping to get in the 2 that I'm missing from NKOTB.....I'd love to be able to do group photos of everyone's blocks.....If QUILTING PRIATE (Toni) and LIZZY3_27 (Elizabeth) could drop me a line and let me know when they'll be sending blocks it would be appreciated...so that I can plan the photo but also plan the completion of my sunflower project.. ....I'd love to wait to take photos after their blocks arrive..... I love the tree--what a great way to showcase the beautiful blocks you got! I think a star or cardinal would be neat with the tree.

You really did something special!! I am very impressed on how well everything ties togeather. I see you used my applique mistakes. They worked for you, I am glad. I love the fabrics your used. I am not always impressed with Christmas quilts but yours is outstanding. Woodenzoo's block is interesting, I see a Christmas tree hiding in there!

That is beautiful. I'm glad I made the effort to send more blocks and that you were able to use all three of them. That tree is very cool.
