My top seam on my sink was perfect, the one front and center looked as if it was cut with a not so sharp blade. I had them come back to fix it. I think he just plished it a little. It is better, but still very noticable. Cat mom said she had them come back and they used a darker epoxy on it and it looked better. I'm thinking about that. It jsut draws my eye to it. I didn't want it to be the feature of my kitchen. Here it is now.

Ugh, don't even get me started on the agent... Remember, he's not MY agent, he's the seller's agent. I don't know about the US (I'm in Australia) but over here, the final inspection is meant to be done on a vacant property. When I got there, the owners were in the process of moving (had the moving truck there and everything). I told him it was a total waste of my time - if they weren't ready for the inspection, it shouldn't have been organised yet. So I have to go back again tomorrow for the official one. (Sorry for the tone, I'm just really annoyed about this whole thing. It takes me over an hour to drive out there, and when I got there, the agent wasn't even there). Do you have your own agent? As for final walk throughs, they are done differently depending on where you live. In some states you should be out in others closing happens a day or so before the sellers leave. I've posted our story about how our buyer ended up changing their mind all of the time on things that were found on the inspection. One minute they were fine with estimates, then they wanted it fixed then wanted cash. The Friday before we moved my agent called after business close (national holiday) saying once again buyers changed their mind. When our movers came Tuesday I had no clue if we were even closing. Our mover was done 30 minutes after their final walk through but the house was cleaned out enough that they could see everything. I did my best to get everything scheduled but we had no real closing date until a week before closing, plus trying to close on our new house the same day, my head was spinning. My "gouge" happened with a stack of plastic containers IIRC. They slipped out of my hands, then fell against something that was near the wall. Since our room was painted a taupe, it looked worst then what it was. Can you bring a camera tomorrow to take pictures of the damage? Maybe you should get an inspector out to make sure the peeling paint isn't anything serious or ask for money to be held in escrow in case it is serious. How have you been as a buyer? Were there things wrong on inspection and did you ask them to get fixed? Do you think the sellers damaged the walls for spite?

Move a baby deodar cedar. Shoot more squirrels with my power ranger squirt gun. Finish the decorating. Only 12 more window panels to sew! Party -or- Relax? Which one has more margaritas? If I could make it rain in Texas, I surely would. It hurts my heart to think of y'all plus your neighboring states, plus georgia and the drought. I will wish for you a nice, mild, slow moving, tropical storm. And best wishes to all those who have suffered the loss of family or their home. You are stronger than you know.

In my area, to name a few, they check compliance with: box fill requirements, grounding, proper size breakers, circuit requirements for kitchens, GFCIs where needed, adequate wire lengths in boxes, cable stapling, outside receptacles, etc. In short, they want to make sure the electrical code was complied with and there aren't potential problems with the wiring that might cause your house to burn down or get someone electrocuted.
