fabric cutting table for 60 inch width fabrics
Comments (22)My husband had an old table in his workroom. We bought a big sheet of something in the plywood section at Lowe's (I'm saying "something" because I don't know what it is). It is not plywood, but looks the same size as a sheet of plywood. It has a very smooth surface, maybe some type of drywall, backerboard, or maybe masonite....not sure. It is a light gray in color and is about 5/8-3/4" thick. I had some wide 2" tape (like electrical tape) which I put all around the edges so the fabric would not get caught. We placed that sheet on the work table and attached it with screws from the underside. Comments (4)Generally you would want to leave about 3-4 feet above the table for the fixture. If you are centering it above the table, then you want to find something where the diameter of the pendants are proportional with the table. For our clients we would suggest leaving at least 5 inches on each side, so nothing with a bigger diameter than 44-45 inches. Please find some lovely examples of Shakuff fixtures over tables below and please let us know if you should need any additional help. We would love to work with you on a custom fixture for your space....See MoreHelp finding a 60 inch counter height table that seats 6-8

Comments (19)Thank you again. I am absolutely set on the table I ordered. It is 60 inch round, solid wood (to match light(s) and chairs) and gorgeous. I have an 8 foot round rug I also plan to use. A little history… Before deciding on a round table of this size, I removed present table and chairs from room. I placed a 60 inch rug — I had from years ago, as a table “template”. I then placed 6 (and even 8) chairs around template rug. Even with 8 chairs, the room was easier to navigate and looked roomier than with the pictured/present oblong table. Perhaps this is because the room is more square. Finally, if the round table is centered under the tray and 6 chairs are positioned properly, the French doors can be fully open... The new table is a single pedestal so chairs can really scoot under it. The present table had two large end pedestals that necessitated that chairs couldn't go far enough under top. Hope that makes sense! :) The only reason I came to Houzz was to ask for opinions on lighting for above the 60 inch round table. Thank you again!...See Moreannettacm
