I ordered my dress for the wedding....

This is one I have chosen so far...I ordered it last night and I figure I have time to send it back if it's not right for any reason. I love the dress but was really looking for a darker color, but both DIL's were here yesterday and I asked them to give me their opinion on color. they both said to go with something way different than bridesmaids...they are wearing brown. Anyway we picked this one out...and I got it for half price! Works for me...now I just hope it fits and looks ok. I will continue looking though....but I hope this one is it, I really am tired of looking for one.

kathi, I know what you mean.. I used all the wedding dress, except I did have to made a new bodic...and then I added the wedding dress cap sleeves and took the ruffel from the wedding dress and added to the front of the dress.. This little grand daughter is a little on the plump side and my neice was about a size 2... the dress back was longer than the front so I did have to do some fancy foot work there to make it work.. I also was able to use the netting from the dress for her vail..then I just added some ribbons and little tiny rose buds to the waist band which was a new piece and a large bow in the back.. I also added some rose buds to each stremer of ribbon down the front of the dress. It sure did save her mother a ton on money.. as the rest of the girls dresses cost almost $100.00 or more and our cost aprox.. $6.00.. I was lucky the wedding dress was not realy fancy and I was able to wash the dress... believe it or not.. before I started.. which worked out great.. I am all for recycle when ever I can.. I'm leaning toward the navy one as well. I think it'll work better for October...probably the print if it were a spring wedding. I think the navy is easier to accessorize as well... Yeah, joanie, I'm fast, but not that fast! :) Especially since I retired...I've gotten a lot more, shall we say, relaxed, about doing things. When I first left work, I was still pedal to the metal on everything we did. Right now I'm savoring the pleasure of putting together the album from our vacation. I ended up taking nearly 1,000 pics for just a week!

None of the dresses wow me, and it is silly to change 3 times for one wedding! Did any of you ever watch "Say Yes to the Dress?" Some of the dresses on that show could best be described as "Fairy Princess Stripper" dresses. Lovely dress and color. That color will go beautifully with brown. Brown and light aqua are very complementary together. It looks perfect!

Thank you. I sure hope it looks ok...me being 5'3" is always a problem with a length like this, but I my SIL's neighbor is a seamstress and although she hates to do any sewing any more she said she would work with the hem if need be. I'm going to try shoes with a higher heel to see if it gives me the height I need! LOL...my legs a very short and look like stubs in any length just under the knee. They call this color light sage, I hope it's a little more like sage when I get it. I really like the style though. Keeping my fingers crossed that I am done looking! Shoes are easy for me....I have a "thing" for shoes! Love, love shoes!
