Where to end one paint color and begin the next

Hi all,

I painted my dining room SW Dried Thyme and am now getting ready to paint my kitchen SW Useful Grey. I'm not sure where to begin the kitchen color. In the picture below, my dining room is the dark area towards the left. Then there is a small butler pantry in the hall, which opens to the kitchen.

Should the butler pantry be painted as part of the DR or kitchen? I originally thought about painting the pantry "hallway" green, so the kitchen paint would begin at the corner of the wall in the center of the picture. However, I'm not crazy about the green being on the little wall where the hardwood meets the carpet, since the "little wall" on the other side (not pictured) will be the kitchen color. Also, I'd prefer to paint the area above the DR entry green, so it will kind-of disappear.

One work-around would be to paint the side with the pantry green, and the other side of the hall grey. Would that look silly?

What would you do? Paint the hall green? Paint the hall grey? Paint the counter side of the hall green, and the other side grey? Paint just the area around the counter green, then the wall with the switches and the opposite wall grey. This decision shouldn't be this difficult for me!! :)
