Can I ask for some more? I love them immensely. I'm sorry I've never said so before. Or, if you don't have anymore, can you direct me to some old postings of them?

I think you must be talking about bestlawn's snags.

I think I remember someone posting that she is not here anymore. I do miss her snags...she had some really nice ones.

Mrsjjb, just go to the bottom of the forum page and type SNAGS in the search box and you'll find them.

Hi Les, can you take a picture of it? There is a forum called Name that Plant that you rarely ask about anything that someone there doesn't know even if it's from a description. The only thing I can think of it may be would be a Crown Imperial lily that come in red or yellow. Maybe they sent that thinking that it was the red one. Does that ring a bell? barbcoleus Glad the "Celeste" cuttings are dong so good for you. That is a beautiful Staghorn fern you sent, we like it a lot. Herman pointed out to me that a rooted cutting I sent him had nematodes, so I only root them in clean potting soil now. Fortunately Celestes are not too badly effected by the nematodes. Thanks Herman for the advice, and the figs you sent me, and thanks to George too. They are also "Nice fig persons". And there seem to be many others on this web. Hi rjinga, I think it's my bathroom you're asking about. It's still holding up just great! It's the main bathroom that my husband and I use everyday, since we still haven't finished renovating the master yet. As I believe I mentioned in another thread, the only wear I can see is where a perfume bottle sat. It seemed to make a small ring in the poly finish, I'm guessing because the perfume is alcohol based. It's barely noticeable and I could sand it and apply another coat of poly if I really wanted. If I did it again, I would try the oil poly with the pantyhose trick that someone recommended in the original thread. I don't have much heat experience with the counter, as a kitchen might get. I use a curling iron and blowdryer and they both sit on the counter when in use with no problems, but I don't know how that compares. I think the long-term durability is all about the top coat, so I would recommend 3-4 coats of the best quality oil poly you can find (I only did 2 of waterbased). Maybe a floor poly? Getting paint and poly around the sinks was the hardest part, so if you can take out the sink when you do your counters, it would probably help the continuity of the faux finish as well as the durability since you could get the poly under the sink lip and then caulk the sink back down over it. Or if that's not possible, perhaps going around the sink with a bead of clear silicone caulk after you're done with the paint and poly would reinforce that transition so the poly doesn't chip. Does that make sense? Let me know if you have any more questions. I hope you post photos when you're done!

Bestlawn was banned from this site. I don't know why. Some of us wrote letter to TPTB to let her come back but I guess that didn't help. I was just thinking about her right before I opened this thread. I miss her too.

Wow, I didn't know that. I had wondered why I hadn't seen any posts from her in a while & thought she was on vacation or something. I miss her, too.

I think she was banned until sometime in August or September. I don't think even she knows exactly why.
I'll be glad to see her back too.
