A print of my favourite painting, "Interesting Story" by Laura Muntz Lyall, a Canadian artist, painted in 1898. And there's an "interesting story" behind the print. I bought it at a print show when I was going to university in the late 80's. My father framed it for me and I carried it back and forth to apartments & homes with me as I moved. I finally settled down but then my house burned to the ground in 1994 and I lost everything. Fast forward several years to when Joe and I got together and I told him about the print. He found it online and ordered it for me. I was so surprised and touched!!! And I even got to see the original painting in the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto a few years ago. I have this in my living room.

Here is a little painting I bought at a yard sale for $5.00. After a little research I believed it was painted by artist Joseph Bohler so I wrote him and he confirmed that this was indeed a painting he did in 1969. He wrote me a nice letter and also said that the original watercolor that I had bought was worth between $500. and $800. His painting style has changed quite a bit through the years!

Here's DH's "car" shelf, little cars, small trophies, just his stuff, and some dust!

DH brought this home from Japan,(although it's very pretty, it's over 6 foot in length!)

This is Bud, one of our 3 cats. He's just too funny, and he breaks us up with his poses. He's got the most expressive face, and can say so much without saying a word. He hardly ever speaks.

Want to see my dining room set and new blue walls? The dining room set was just delivered a little while ago. I haven't cut all the tags off it. I measured the area and compared it to the specs on the table before I bought it, but it still looks a little too big for the space. I'm going to have to find somewhere else to put the cabinet that's to the right of it. There's an extra leaf to the table too, but it's in the closet right now. Now to get some pads for the bottoms of the chairs so they don't scratch up the floor.

The round table in the corner of the right hand side of the picture is my old table. It's going out in the garage later when Alex gets home. I have to e-mail a friend to see if her nephew ever got a new place so they can come pick it up. His apartment burned a couple months ago and he lost everything.

My collections of bird and animal figurines and DH's diecast cars, trucks and construction equipment, must co-exsist....

Wow, I showed my hubby your hubby's collection Gazania. He loves it, and commented that "He has a glass cabinet!"

My sweetie has just a few cars that he would love to display better, so we're going to be making room for his in the curio cabinet now. LOL.
