niecieb, I'm building in Destrehan. Where in N.O. are you building? You mentioned a pasture so I'm wondering where you are. The house with porch is 46'. We don't have a living and great. That's just the way the architect marked the great room, as a living room. The foyer is 8 x 9'. The only rooms I don't have photo's of are the master bedroom and bath. I posted a couple of the beginning of the master bath on the January house building thread. DH should be finished with that bath before the week is over, with the exception of the glass block for the shower, which we are going to wait on for now. We are anxious to get in the house and the glass block is not a requirement. We've put off a couple of things, i.e, the fireplaces in two of the bedrooms and some other things, till we get in. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Is there something wrong with the flooring, or are you just looking to make a change? I was pleasantly surprised when I saw your picture because your lead-in made it sound ugly :). Actually it is quite nice! I would surely not change your wood floors.They are beautiful and will work with anything. Did you try to ". Google" entry tables?

What is the rest of your flooring? Can you please post pictures?

Wow, I’m not trying to be snarky, but I think invest in a really good outdoor rug to clean feet on and remove shoes, then just go put your shoes away. A little extra trouble but totally worth it. You have an incredible view, and there would not be anything I would do to obstruct that. That wall of windows, and really cool patio ... AMAZING.
