New Baby Alert!!!!!

New Granddaughter made an early entrance this morning. 8lbs 6 oz, 21". Baby & Mama are doing fine. No name yet.

I am stuck at home b/c DH is have a defibrillator "installed" tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to go over later in the week.

Congratulations Linda. If she weighed that much and was early, I wonder what she would have weighed full term. I'm glad they're both fine. I know your itching to hold her.

Y'all are too funny. There's nothing funny about this wind though, and Tree and I sorry to hear your door broke. New doors are so expensive. I don't know what kind of wind the rest of y'all had yesterday, but we were gusting to 35 mph or so and the tomato plants were begging to go back inside the greenhouse to get out of the wind. At our house, though, with a couple of notable exceptions, the March wind seems milder than usual this year. On those days where the wind was really bad this month, we weren't even home....we were out fighting large wildfires driven by the wind. That's fairly typical for March and April though. It is windy here this morning, but I don't think it is quite as windy as yesterday. I'm ready for April and hope its' weather is kinder to us than the March wind has been. Dawn

New Store Alert for Miami/S. Florida folk

I live less than a mile from that store--have been watching it get set up for weeks now since I drive by the intersection frequently. The entire exterior is clad with wood planking for lack of a better word, and it's been amazing to see workers literally putting the stuff up board by board on a huge storefront. For that reason I assumed it was another entry in the all-too-familiar South Florida chi-chi uber-expensive design boutique mode. Will have to go check out it out now, thanks for the heads up!

Fantastic photos, Bob! I especially like the one where they are standing side by side next to the fence. He is a mini-me of his mother right down to the blaze on his face. Even at this young age, one can see the horse he is going to be in a few years. What a little beauty he is. He must be providing lots of entertainment at the farm. Everything is new to him and he has the energy to check it all out. I'll bet he is full of mischief!

Congratulations!! She sure is a healthy size!! And tall, too. Glad they're doing well.

Harry had a defibrillator "installed" earlier this year. Just make sure he doesn't move his left arm for about a week. They gave Harry a sling to wear--which he did day and night. Tell Wayne we wish him good health!

Congratulations Grandma! Hope your DH procedure goes well. I have a female cousin and a male friend with implanted defibrillators. You'd never know it, unless they tell you about them. So I suspect there are lots of people walking around with them.

Wow! A really big girl! Hope her head wasn't especially large. Our DGS's was in the 95th percentile. No wonder DDIL doesn't want more.

Waitin' on those photos, lindyluwho!

If they don't name her soon, her birth certificate will say Baby Girl __________ and the doctor's name will be typed instead of being a signature. She'll think she was adopted!
