Thank you all so much! I don't know what the heck to do. As I said, my cabinet base has been cut for this sink. My cabs are Decora...cream with a rust glaze. It is interesting that this sink WAS a floor model from my local plumbing supply. I ordered a sink back in Feb., and the lady at the store said no problem getting one even after I had mentioned the backlog problem to her. Well, sure nuff, three weeks later when my sink had not come in, she called the distributor and found out about the backlog. That's when she said I could have the floor model...so I jumped at it. I'm assuming now the hold up in the 30 inchers is over. Is that right? Anyone know anymore about why there was a problem in getting the sinks to begin with? I think I heard is was a problem with the mold. Any info on that would be appreciated. I could call the store tomorrow and see if they have gotten another sink in...or see how long to get another one. But, my cabinet has been cut for THIS sucker and I can just imagine how off it might be with another one. And whose to say a new sink would drain any better. I think it's just the luck of the draw. And sadly, we were going to the granite fabricator tomorrow to see the templates on the stone. He said he would be ready to install on Wednesday. We were finally gettin this granite show rolling. Now this. But, ya know, I do like the look of this big, fat, round baby in my kitchen. I just don't think I would like to start all over and go with a "non" farmhouse sink. I've even considered that idea. Somebody slap me up side the head and tell me what to do! Isn't it amazing what weenies we can turn into with this kitchen cr*p! TIA.

Thanks for asking the question edlakin, I'm in the same boat as you (templating on Monday, if the sink cabinet ever gets done today like it's supposed to) so I was getting ready to post the same question. Please keep those pictures coming, people! My biggest issue is what to do about the front corners of the countertop. acountryfarm has pretty rounded corners but I have 3cm granite and I prefer square corners. DH is worried that it will look funny being too square.

Ugh.. So DH just talked to electrician (E) and E thought that the plan the entire time was to move the can and put a smaller can on a separate switch above the sink. Not sure why I do not remember making this decision-- but I must have. So my thought was to just change the smaller can to a pendant/fixture of some sort. DH does not want to since E already purchased the smaller can. Also to put in a fixture it would involve putting in a box/adding 2x4s or something like that. Now DH does not want to change it to a fixture since E already purchased the smaller can. DH says we can change it down the road if we want to. Arghhh.. :( Thanks for all of your help!!

thanks bbtrix, fora ll your help over multiple threads about this sink. The templater is still here and gently asked me to give him some space to think :) . They have agreed to a roundover edge on the sink with as square corners as possible. The half bullnose for the perimeter edge would require me to have 3 inch radius inside corners on the cabinets so I chose the 1/4 roundover instead in order to get the 1 inch radius inside corner. It's only slightly more than an eased edge (1/8") but hopefully will help wtih the chipping issue. Thanks to Trebuchet for raising my awareness of that on this forum.
