Thank you so much for the response! I am really happy to hear this! We are looking at rift and quarter sawn white oak in 7” planks. We will also have a humid on the furnace. We run a portable dehumidifier in the basement and use hygrometers as well (had problems with cupping in previous house with crawlspace. We had an hrv in that house too but aren’t planning to do that in this home unless needed. If needed or we get nervous, we can put a dehumidifier on the furnace for humid times of year. The humidity worries me a little as it takes a year or so for new homes to dry out (lumber etc...). Even in summer with dehumidifiers and a/c on, we would stay at aroun 50% or 55% humidity a lot. Not sure how accurate the cheap hygrometers are. I know too dry doesn’t physically feel great for me! I prefer 50-55%. That said, maybe I should stick with 5” boards. Never had trouble with these cupping. If we decide to go with the 7” planks, they will be nailed and glued. Our builder uses an installer from. Chicago so I don’t think we will be able to change this. Thanks for the offer! Our cabinet guy is from Arthur! He’s great!

We installed this in our sunroom in 2012 . The sun room isn’t heated in the winter.We get a little seperation when the January and February extreme cold weather hits. When warmer weather rolls around it tightens right up again. We heat our sunroom on warmer winter days so we basically use it year round. This product stands up great . I would use it anywhere in my house, but my problem is I can not find it . super product if you can find it

We were told flooring was installed wrong, floors weren't level, we had too much furniture on the flooring, power chair was too heavy and floor needed to be glued when installed. Is it false advertisement to advertise a floating floor then only warranty it if it's glued down? By the way the power chair came into the picture after the flooring was installed and it also was dirty looking. ZEP Neutral PH is the best for cleaning but my mop gets caught in the splinters and cracks.

@HU-796072056 Hello! I chose the bambino because of the color I was looking for, the budget, the low foot traffic in my house. I have no kids or pets in the house. I was aware of it being 5.5mm. For more peotection, I recommend 7.7mm+. I’ve had my first incident where I dropped a knive on the kitchen, by accident, and it hit the floor with the sharp point and it made a small cut. I realized it’s very thin. I’ve placed area rugs where I spend more time doing things and could drop object by accident :). I’m clumpsy! Also, all my furniture have protection to avoid damage when moving them. Like anything, it‘s just taking care of it. I do have to say, if I do it again, i would demolish the old floors in the whole house and then be able to place the planks on the floor before installing since some of the knots are too close together. the installees where going room by room and i was able to be here. it would have been more days of installation and at that point I let it go. The installers tried, but it was hard since the plank design repeat every 10 planks and have an open floor plan. if you get a chance, tell your installers (if not you) to place them on the floor ahead of installation that way you can avoid that. keep that in mind in case you need extra days. My installers were not designers. Now I know:).
