Well, everyone it was wonderful!! We got to go two days this year and we still did not adequately cover everything. And we agreed we were on overload by the end of the day. So much to see and too much to comprehend. My daughter will download the pictures soon. One extremely interesting display was done by a Canadian. It consisted of a few hundred works in about 8 inch squares representing countries that have immigrants living in Canada. There were some really beautiful works. Those could not be photographed. And then there were vendors and vendors and more vendors! It was great! Sally

Donna! I'm sorry we couldn't have arranged to meet there. I was at the show on Friday. One of my quilting co-workers and I took the day off so we could avoid the crowds on Saturday. I bought a bundle of fat quarters from the quilted jacket people and a couple other small things, but I was pretty good and didn't go over my budget. I agree about the Best in Show quilt. It was skillfully done but I didn't like it and I thought there were several more amazing quilts. I'm pretty sure it also took 1st Place for applique - but I'm not sure. It had a blue ribbon for something in addition to the Best in Show ribbon. Thank you fran and quiltnhen. Thank you bunches Cindy! When I showed the blocks to her before assembling them into a quilt her favorite block was the hand-qpplique that you made Cindy. We just got back from our RV trip late yesterday. At some point during the next couple of weeks we are going to celebrate Christmas with my family and Grandma and I can't wait to see the reaction on her face once she sees it fully completed. I'm afraid that I am also an armchair enthusiast, both of claying (with polymer clay) and quilts as well--mostly enjoying looking at books about polymer, and with the quilts, being "called to" by my stash, which is where my eyes often fall on it, and by my main UFO, the stack-n-whack. I am partly being held up on that by having no idea how to finish off the edges, which are so irregular when the hexagons and triangles are put together. Top, with no edging, is half put together. Will probably be posting for suggestions here--hopefully before long.
