Here are some table runners I have made: This one is for my dear niece Emily who just moved into a new house

This one is for a friend who always gives us wonderful home canned goods.

And this is for my dear DIL who is so very good to both of us.

You know, maybe they did come from BB&B. I just remember DH found them and then showed them to me. BB&B is probably where we got ours. The colors are fairly bright -- it makes me think of Fiestaware. Get them and see if you like them.

Oh My Gosh, it is the block. Thank you, thank you. msmeow!!! I am going to make one of these. Yesterday, I decided I need to make one more table runner. This time I am going to try to teach myself how to do stipple stitch or meandering to quilt it. For ever, I wanted to learn this. I watched a number of videos yesterday and practiced a little. Still am not sure how to get the right squiggle for the meandering. For years I have just stitched around the pattern or stitch in the ditch. Any advice would be welcomed at this point.

I would start at one end and go across buy do try to avoid going across in a straight line because it will look funny. Do about a six inch square in say the left hand corner and then maybe a four inch square adjoining and then another six inch square and then finish off the edge and then work your way back from right to left fillling in the smaller square. The squares on your right to left run should be different sizes than the ones on the left to right run. The point is you don't want it to look like you colored in a row of horizontal lines. Free motion quilting should be very random. A long arm quilter described it as making mickey mouse ears first in one direction and then in another. Use a thread that matches as closely as possible and don't worry about your errors. Nobody but you will notice them. Another tip,if you accidentally cross a line or find it necessary to cross a line, that's okay. The quilt police will not come after you.

Very Beautiful, all three of them, but I think I like #3 the best, the colors in all of them are soooo lovely. I have that pattern too, I love it.

Very nice. How do you put the binding on the points? I love pointed table runners and never made one because that point intimates me!

Very nice, Geri. Don't you love the versatality of this pattern? It's a great way to use orphan blocks, too.

Great job. I like your fabric choices and the interesting way you used it in the center applique. I am always amazed at how different they turn out with different fabric. I made a few of that design last Christmas and had a ball doing them. I just run out of peope to give them to.

Go to Quiltbug.com for this pattern. It is so much fun and so easy. It is called Quick Table Topper and I think if you put in the search on their website it will come up.
