stripping 2 layers of paint from 100 year old house

Hi all,

I need to strip the paint of some redwood panels in a house built in 1911. The base layer is paint coverd in some sort of varnish(i use that term loosly). It looks like they painted grain onto the wood then sealed it some how. The second layer is very cheap latex paint. painted in just before sale(less than 6 months old) Can anyone recommend a good way to strip this paint? I assume there is lead someware in the mix as the house is so old. I am looking at the silent paint stripper, but it seems the product has changed and is no longer that good. i am also looking at removeall, but have no idea about this product. I am looking for any and all advice. Thanks in advance.
