Pella Fiberglass Entry Door - Being Installed Today

I have not even opened the packaging yet and the installer should be here in 30 minutes or so.

We chose Pella over Therma-Tru because we were able to select the iron grill that is on the exterior of the door as well as the decorative glass.

Therma-Tru iron grills are inside the glass and does not give you a choice of glass. From the interior, the grills look terrible, as the glass on interior side is clear on oneside and granite on the other, then the iron grill, followed by another sheet of clear glass. The grill is really distorted from the inside view.

The plugs over the screw holes on Therma-Tru were also very poor. Not flush at all. Some cooked, many sticking out terribly, etc. While the Pella was neat and flush. Hope it comes that way, because it really was a turn off to Therma-Tru and a plus for Pella when viewing samples.

The Therma-Tru was also about $1000 difference in price.

I am having the Dura-Clad brick mold as well installed.

I am eager to see the door and hope it turned out as planned. I will let you know my expereince after it goes in.
