I think you'll be very happy with it! I've had a wood look laminate for several years now, and it really takes a beating. I know it isn't the "real" thing--but it sure looks darn close. In fact, when I moved into the house, one of the movers said to me about the floor, "This floor is beautiful, but you're going to really have to be careful with it." He thought it was the real thing. Looks good and low care--what else could you ask for?

Wow, where'd you get that? I thought I had kinda made up my mind for what I wanted to put in my LR, but now that I see this, I might have to think again. Are you installing or paying someone? I will be DIY'ing mine.

strait, glad you like it. We purchased it from a local flooring center "Perque's". We were able to get a good deal because they had ordered literally a truck load and passed the savings on to the customer's. I'm sure you can find it in your area, whereever that may be. It's an Armstrong product carrying the Bruce name.

My DH is installing. He's a contractor, but it's an easy install because unlike the less expensive laminate, it is easier to "click" together and doesn't require a lot of pushing and pounding to get it in place. It takes a light tap and that's it. It took my DH and his helper 4 hours to install it in the office that is roughly 14 x 14 or something like that.

That is beautiful flooring. One of the few great decisions we made on our house was getting laminate throughout the first floor (except kitchen and powder room). One of our most stupid decisions is not getting laminate everywhere else. With all your pets and rescues, you are going to *love* the laminate- virtually indestructible and oh so easy to clean.

DH completed 2 bedrooms with the laminate and he's so excited he can barely contain himself. He's like a kid in a candy store now that he's able to do all the fun and pretty installations. He phones me each step of the way telling me what's done, how pretty it is and how much I'll like it. Bless his heart, he works so hard.

looks really nice! i can't wait to see pics of your house when it's finished. it's amazing how far laminate has come. I've been to a lot of houses now that I couldn't tell their floor wasn't real wood.

You must be so excited! It looks lovely. We have laminate throughout our house, excluding the bedrooms which have carpet, and I adore it. Can't wait to see the finished product!
