Question about installing hardwood on concrete floor

Hi. We are getting ready to get hardwood floors throughout the first floor of our home. We have a concrete sub floor, so we will be getting a glued down engineered wood. We were told once that you should seal the concrete first before gluing down the wood floor. Well, the person we found to install the floor is saying that he will only have to seal any visible cracks in the concrete if there are any. Is this the correct way of going about this or should the concrete be sealed all over, even if there are no cracks? We will be spending quite a bit of hard earned money on this project and want to make sure the installer we have chosen knows what he's doing and won't leave us with a problem we will have to have fixed later on.

Any and all advice you can give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
