Comments (1)I served them last year to my family to mixed reviews. But I like them!...See MoreReal or Faux Wood Blinds
Comments (13)i have had both too... the faux were less expensive, but my faux looked faux- no mistaking that they weren't wood! they were also very heavy to lift up and down- i always felt like the cords would break when i raised and lowered them! the cords never broke, but i got rid of them after about 5 yrs. i very much prefer my wood blinds- i have some painted as well as stained... i wouldn't get faux again unless i could see them and try them in a store first- i don't remember what brand they were- maybe S&N? i got them online ~ 12 yrs ago- maybe some brands 'do faux' better......See MoreIdeas for counter wall?
Comments (16)Some good ideas here -- thank you! I think you're right Annie -- not enough overhang; however, it does work as an eating counter, even seated. I think beadboard would be too "cottagy" for my house. Wallpaper - meh, but I'll consider it. To the right in the picture is the big blank wall of my tv area -- I've also considered extending a new paint color to that wall. I don't really like the color of my countertop (too yellow) so probably would not go with that color. I'm still trying to find a low, non-ugly fish tank stand. Probably will have to go custom. And the plants you see there are for the specific purpose of screening the view of the sink from the front door -- works great. Comments (6)The marble porcelain tile is beautiful. I think if you do a white vanity you can definitely do that cool blue Cambria, just make sure you mute the other fixtures and wall color to let the counter be the star. Maybe a niche with a similar blue tile to tie it all together....See MoreTxMarti
