Need 11.5' columns - how can I use 10' ones?

I need to replace the wooden builder stick looking columns on my front porch. They were not made well and are falling apart. I believe them to be strucural .... house is 6 years old - 2 story center hall, stucco front.

I have no $$ for this, so am trying to figure out a way to not special order columns. I found reasonable priced 10' round ones (not fluted). But what can I do about the other 1.5'? I thought about pouring a concrete pedastal to sit them on or framing a the base and pedastal to make the 1.5'. My house is white stucco. Porch is concrete. I could then either leave the pedastal concrete or try to make it look stucco or if I famed a base and cap out of wood, paint it to match. Would this look weird? Is 1.5' out of proportion. THe roof height is closer to 15' tall...the framing comes down on the sides so that I need 11.5' posts, including any cap and base. Or should the pedastal be taller and the posts shorter - can get 8' ones too. Any other ideas?
