What color will the walls be in the bathroom?

What color are the fixtures - sink, toilet, shower/bath?

What is the style of the cabinet - does it have plain slab doors, or ones with curves?

Are you trying to create a more traditional or more modern feel?

You could also do a dark chocolate brown instead of black. It's a little softer and several people have done it and posted pictures. If you decide on a lighter color, you could do an off white or cream instead of white.

The wall color is undecided at this time. That's another decision to tackle soon. If we go black, then we should probably go with a lighter paint color. If white, then the wall color could maybe be darker?

Toilet and bath are both white. The sink and counter are one piece so they are the same color.

We are trying to have a more modern feel.

Happyladi--I did think about a dark chocolate brown after seeing beautiful examples on this site. The one we have now is dark brown--a VERY UGLY and outdated brown at that! I didn't know if it would be much of a change but it might work.

Cream would look really nice with the counter and faucet.

Black! Because of your black faucet you don't want to multiply any more than what you have from your countertop. Paint the walls tan from what you have from the countertop.

Picture yourself wearing black tanktop, tan shorts with white sandals?! Hm?!

I've painted my kitchen and two bathroom cabinets, too! I had just like yours, dark walnut stain and now they are white. I love it. Also, my faucets are chrome.

My vote is for the black

I would do a white with a tobacco stain or antiquing on it, ORB hardware. Your countertop does have color in it, but at a distance reads pretty light over all.

Do the walls in a deep rust shade, and pull in deep chocolate brown towels.

My vote is for the black due to the black faucet.

I'm speaking from experience. I had the same decision to make a while back, and decided to go with black satin paint for the vanity, thanks to the advice of my forum friends. It looks fantastic!!!! I didn't realize that such a small change would make such a tremendous difference. It took only a quart of paint to make it look like I have new cabinets -- so classy looking! The original color of my vanity was very similar to yours. Go BLACK -- you won't be sorry.

BLACK! I painted my kitchen cabs (gel stain) in dark brown and my powder room in white. Eventhough I love the white (I have deep brown walls) it doesn't stand out with the marble countertop. In another bath I used the same gel stain and it looks fabulous with the light countertop. You will love the contrast specially with that lovely faucet.

My dark cabs do get dirty easier but they are also very easy to clean. My boxer's hair doesn't get stuck or anything to it. I though it would but it doesn't.
Tannish walls black vanity!

Black!! I think it will look gorgeous with the counter/sink and faucets. I'd paint the walls taupe but I tend towards earthy colors. I'd think a grey blue would look nice too.

I'd get new knobs for the cabinets with the same feel as your faucet. I, too, vote for black.

Wow!! Thanks to everyone for your responses and suggestions. We have decided to go.....BLACK! DH is going to pick up paint tomorrow. Can't wait to get started. I hope the end product looks as good as others I've seen on this site.

suero--I couldn't agree with you more. We did, in fact, buy new knobs to replace the old ones.

I think black is a great choice. I recently painted our outdated oak cabinets black.

Black, based on your faucet. I enjoyed looking at your countertop, faucets and vanity. I think it's going to look great when you get it all together!

I am planning to both my bathroom vanities while on vacation next week. My son's vanity is going to be black and mine is going to be a chocolate brown.

Thanks so much! I am heading there tomorrow. Well I guess I will call first to see if they are open since its the 4th. The closest one is actually across the state line about 35 minutes away. I picked up some samples of the browns from Lowe's last night but had a sample of SW Jute Brown downstairs and am going to try it first on the master one but I want black in Brett's Bathroom.

Why not light tan walls~SW Kilm Beige,and a darker color,Latte,for the cabs.Traditional or contemporary decor would look ok,and the colors would look fantastic with the ORB.
