Removing bathroom floor

ethan_s

We are remodelling the 2nd floor master bath in a 105yr old house. I have gutted the room down to the framing on floor and ceiling.

The shocking pink tile on the floor is set in about 2" of concrete which is reinforced with steel wire. How do I remove the tile and concrete?

(1) Someone suggested a sledgehammer but I am worried about the jolts/vibration damaging the plaster in surrounding rooms.

(2) I could use a concrete saw but the room has no windows....how would I vent the dust?

Any other ideas and suggestions would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!
