what size pull on panelled DW?

is there a standard or recommended size for the pull on a panelled (fully integrated) dishwasher? This is a bosch dw.

Is a 7 inch pull likely big enough?

I think it's all aesthetics - a 7" pull will work. We went with 12" in the same style as our other cabinet handles. The dishwasher is on the far right in this picture.

Because a center pull/knob is pretty functional a drawer front over a panel or more drawer fronts is an option which then uses the pull/knob matching the other drawers. The magnetic catch is easy to open with an adjustable counter spring so the choice can be as functional as your drawers. But get one of each(returnable) and determine in place.

My thought was that the intent of the panel was to have the DW blend in with the rest of the cabs and matching the hardware and locations helped further the illusion. But it depends on the look of your panel. In my previous kitchen, I had what looked like a drawer on the top with what looked like a door on the bottom, both glued/screwed to very thin luan which was in turn attached to the DW. So I put the same drawer hardware on top (no problem opening DW) and the same door hardware on the bottom (nonfunctional but that's a different thread...). hth

The Bosch panel-ready should be ready to work with 24" deep cabinets -- I have two, the 300 and 500. However, when you get the template that comes with the dishwasher, use it, but pay attention to your width. If you choose 24", use 24" minus the 1/4" or 3/8" to get a 1/16" spacing around the door. The default width on the template may not work for your spacing, as @sjhockeyfan noted. The Bosch is made using European/metric measurements, and is a bit narrower than 24", If you use their default measurements on the template you may end up with a gap too wide around the panel. As of last year, they've improved their instructions, but it is never very clear. Here's my before and after with the incorrect panel width, by using the default on the template. Note how much of a gap was left using the default measurement -- pretty noticeable. Perfect gap on the right side.

I just installed a Bosch dishwasher with a custom panel. Fori is right... you can use the dishwasher without the panel. The door springs will be extra springy, which normally compensates for the weight of the panel. The custom panel is tricky to install and adjust for height and panel gaps. I would not want to do it twice either. You might want to at least try using it without the panel first. The spring action will be an annoyance, but at least you'll be able to open the dishwasher. If you have the panel installed, but no handle, make sure you have someplace to grab to be able to open the door. It takes a fair amount of pull force to open the door.

I have an 8" pull on mine. I like that extra space to grab onto when opening. I placed one on the pull down sink drawer just to it's right (same height) for some visual consistency. Restoration Hardware has nice hardware and quite frequent 25% off sales.

I have the F&P dishdrawers paneled. I used the same 4" pull that is on the rest of my drawers with no problem.

Whatever size pull you are using on your cabinets, use for your dishwasher. As the hardware guy told me, people panel their dishwasher to hide it, don't stick a big handle on it. Only reason I could see to make it larger was if you wanted to use it as a towel bar. Our pulls are 4".

3.75" and no issues. I wanted it to look like all of the other cabinets.
