Mine is centered. The potfiller reaches all of the burners. Even if it didn't reach all of them, all six are 18 or 19,000 btus, so there isn't one "special" burner that I had to make sure it reached.

I have a 48" Blue Star range and we centered the faucet. Not all pot fillers will reach every burner so we made sure to order one that does (Rohl P/N U.4799LS)

I put mine well off to the left of my 48 inch range.(Not even in that 48 inch range) It doesn't interfere with the decorative backsplash I have. But I would hav centered if I had all one tile like above...

We put ours off to the right because we have a niche in the backsplash. It's also closer to the dog corner, since we use it sometimes to fill the water bowl.

However, if I didn't have the niche, I would have centered it.

My GC talked me out of the potfiller. He said the water sits there and that you have to purge it occasionally and if there is any over spill it can be quite a mess. With where our sink is located, it is nothing to fill the pot on the counter with our Hahnsgrohe faucet and move to the rangetop.

Just a different perspective.

We centered ours and it reaches to everything. BUT...we centered it when it was flat on the wall. Originally the part that came out of the wall was centered but when we put it on, it looked off center, so we had to have it moved 4-inches.

One shouldn't forget that the pot that was filled on the burner to save lifting has to be moved eventually. (A pot evacuator would seem to be useful in this case.) Hence, other locations for the pot filler where an overflow or leak disaster would be a slightly smaller disaster may be worth considering.
