We did, when we had our house painted 11 years ago. Just had all the windows finally replaced this summer. The paint was fine for those 11 years.

Did it make the windows look newer? Was it a better look than the aluminum? Did you paint yours white? And last, did you paint both the inside and the outside window frame?

We painted just the outside (Dark green). Yes, it improved the look as that was the only trim the windows had.

The inside were wood casings and trims which were painted white.

AND, these are windows now, still haven't decided on new house colour- but plan to keep trim white. (Windows over door weren't replaced as we are planning an addition to the front entry)

Just clean and scuff up the aluminum a bit first.

First pic cheered me up immensely! (Then you had to add the downer.)

Rub down the aluminum with vinegar. I was given this tip and it has worked well for over 3 years-no chips and lots of use.

LOL! Actually, we get so little snow here, that when the trees get frosted, I love the look!

Have to admit though, that even I , like looking at pictures of the garden in the middle of February- (I mean pictures of the summer garden...you know what I mean...)

I replaced my old aluminum windows with the vinyl.
Didn't cost that much and the windows are much tighter now.

Save a bunch on the heating bill.
