Well, the DIY seminar on waterfall building was mainly a dudd. But I did pick up a few ideas about the sound of the waterfall. Apparently, concave backdrops make the sound project (because it doesn't have anywhere else to go). Also, the sound of the waterfall is a deeper pitch when it falls into deeper water. OK, well the final drop into the pool is deep already, I'll just have to apply that to the intermediate drops as well. I'm working on a revised drawing of the waterfall (This waterfall going to be a project in itself! But it will be fun.) I'll post the design pic in a little while. I'm ordering the pool kit today. The clearers/diggers will be here in the next few days. I hope that I have this right!! -Renee

Hi Everyone! Yeah I know it's similar in size to the other stuff. I just can't seem to pick out things that work together. It's actually half frustrating. Here's some pics of it in the kitchen. Please excuse the mess. It was one of DH's days off. . . :) I didn't bother to clean up for these. This is what was here. :O ...Oh the horror!! ;) I know the counter accessories aren't working together. Just was throwing different stuff out to see. The drainer is normally right beside the stove but I tried it on the other side of the sink just to see. I need to keep it somewhere. I'd like to get a black one instead. Found a nice iron looking one in a mag. but it was so small there would be no point. The wine corks I bought a big bag at the flea market last week. Teehee. We don't really even drink but I loved how decorative some of them were. I just had that apothecary jar but don't love it. Open to any suggestions for arranging stuff. I know it doesn't look right on top of the hutch like that but I just threw it up there for an idea. I'm sure it would fit on e.stand in the LR, on the bookends, or inside. I'll have to take some pics in the morning. Again, I can't seem to tell in my own house if things are starting to just looked like a bunch of throw together things/cluttered. Please guide me! Funky - Yep the one in Lemoyne. They have two more left and it was 50% off. Yay! I saw a really neat black, more traditional looking one in at Kohls awhile back and passed it up. I could kick myself because I haven't seen another like it since. I've checked a couple different stores. I'm not against painting this one if I know I can find a home for it in the house.

Have you already decided on a color? I was going to suggest SW Burlap before I got to point where you mentioned it as a color that you were considering. It's brown with a touch of green/olive. My home has an open floor plan and I just recently painted my kit. & liv. room walls SW Ecru.I painted the kitchen ceiling SW Muslin,and the liv. room ceiling SW Netsuke. These colors are on the same strip as the Harmonic Tan and Burlap you mentioned. I have a sunroom/dining room adjacent to my living room and I had planned to paint it SW Burlap, (wonbyherwits garden room was my inspiration-linked below), but at the last minute I changed my mind to BM Pike's Peak Gray because I decided I wanted to add a pop of blue/gray to my color scheme. I have been a fan of the show since it first began but in the last couple of years I think they are messing with something that really didn't need to be fixed. The shows original format was great, it wasn't nasty back stabbing it was people trying something "new" in their life and doing it the best they could. It seemed everyone loved the challenge and the public as a whole welcomed the whole concept. It was getting people off the couches and moving. It was a show all ages could watch and enjoy. I don't feel that is the case any longer. I used to watch all the dancers do "a dance" and then wait a week to see the results. As the couples reduced they would do two dances. Now it drags on and on the the dancing is less and less...more about the drama and the "guests". Having more mature dancers or surprising contestants is fine as long as they are there to try and not insult the audience. Everyone enjoys a little chuckle..but the last few years they have really gone over the edge. I really don't enjoy watching it very much anymore.
