Yes, I do find certain accents (notice I said "certain") attractive. I wish you'd met this guy under different circumstances, though--like if he was your waiter at a nice restaurant. :-)

I have to have some ultra sounds, a PET scan, visit their dentist... and then they will start the bone marrow with~
drawal. That is an interesting thing. I guess the shots that
I get make the marrow reproduce faster than bunnies! and
it's supposedly painful enough that they give you oxycodone
(sp?) I have to go up to Seattle for the shots, but they are
looking into my insurance to see if I can get the morning
shot in Seattle and give myself the evening shot of
the nupagen at home. Without traffic the travel time is
about 1 1/2 minutes. But the SEattle traffic is the pits.
Took me 3 hours to get home on thursday and friday. I have
to figure out how to get my job done in between all these
appointments. thank goodness it's just part time! It is
going to be an interesting 2 or 3 weeks, that's for sure!
lol

I think the pain from neup shots is cummulative. And the closer you get to having your stem cells collected the more uncomfortable you will be. Hence the pain medication.

Can't you just TELL your insurance co to allow your local oncologist to admin the neup shots, or if you are able, that you will admin them yourself. Explain how tough/rough the commute is into Seattle.
I hope your harvest is a good one and you have enough healthy cells collected for a second transplant if you ever need one.

My oncologist down here can't do the shots because I believe that the scca will be starting them on a Saturday, possibly a friday,(my doc isn't open on weekends) on the following Monday, they will have to put in a mehurker (sp) line in the left side of my neck, as my power port doesn't allow enough volume to pass. The doctors up there all want the procedures, Petscans, etc done up there with their techs and labs. Tomorrow, my last appointment ends at 5pm. I think I will spend the night at my brother's home, which is 45 minutes closer than mine. I have to be back at the scca at 645am on Thursday for the petscan.

I do need to run home after the PET scan and try to get some of my work done. My boss just can't physically do her accounts AND mine. Then back up to the U of W med. on Friday morning to have an ultra sound, and another procedure on my heart, back to the scca to their dental clinic.

I'm getting tired, LOL And I feel pretty good! I feel for Bulldinkie and all the tests she had to complete when she was feeling so lousy! We haven't seen any postings from her, I wonder how she is doing?

thanks again MJ.. I don't like taking pills, I didn't take anything for the biopsy... but they tell me I will need something for the growth factor. But every body is different!

I haven't posted for ages either, but my prayers are with you. You are a very brave lady.

You're always in my thoughts Kat...you are my hero...but I've been dying to know about your friend who was on Oprah...How did that go? Did Oprah set her up for plastic surgery to get rid of those wings after that 300 pound weight drop? she shoulda have at the very least...You two are both such an inspiration on the weight loss battle!
