How tolerant should I be of flaws in cabinet?

I am mid-remodel and am a little disappointed in the KD's solution to a flaw in my hood. I have a mantel type hood and the shelf that is mounted on the hood itself has a visible seam that is not where the shelf meets the hood, but about an 1/8'' below. His suggestion was touch up. I will admit that it not extremely noticeable, but perhaps the type of thing only *I* will notice. I'm tempted to live with it to speed the job along, but am afraid I will be kicking myself later. I can't post a photo, even if I could, I don't know that it would show up in a picture. Did anyone else accept or compromise on something like this? I'm so tired of doubting myself and second guessing every decision, I feel like I can't think straight anymore.

He did offer to order a new hood, which would hold things up for about 3 weeks. These are Wood Mode cabinets, and as you can imagine, the hood was not cheap! Any advice?
