This is the first time I got seeds from the USA. The experience is good and bad. I am happy that there was no duty on a purchase of USD 8.70. I got five packages of seeds. The shipping costs was $5.93, averaging $2.9 per package including one of the seeds I could not find in any online stores in Canada. But I have learned that if one of the seeds is on back order, the order would not be sent until all seeds are in. When I cancelled the back order seeds, the operator promised to replace the back order seeds with another one which is at a lower price than the two combined. However, when I called again later on I was told that it was not included in the shipment because they could not add seeds to an existing order. When I asked to speak to a manager two times, nobody ever called me back. The name of this company is Park Seed. So if you want to order anything from them, please speak to a person by phone instead of doing it online to make sure that all the seeds you want is already in its warehouse so that you can make an order that is good for the shipping cost and below $20 to avoid complication in duty charge also.

Jeguzik, There are many online retailers. I have just finished ordering tile for our new construction and ordered from 3 different dealers mentioned here: Value Direct Flooring, Ceramic Tile 4 U (same as Ppl tile), and Buildirect. Some of the tile I wanted was not available through all dealers, some was available from multiple dealers but one had better pricing, etc. I found all of the dealers that I used to be helpful and efficient in getting the order out. The only problem I had was that Value Direct never processed my sample order. They said it was a glitch with their ordering system because I ordered so many samples.This slowed down my selection process. Builddirect doesn't sell bullnose or decorative tile, so they aren't really a great source for bathrooms where you may need specialty pieces. On the other hand, I got tons of samples from them, shipped to me free of charge by 2nd day air. Good luck.

I just ordered a plant from the Hosta Auction that was sold by Jim's Hostas. To be honest, I messed up the bid, but Jim was really nice about it. The plant arrived promptly, and it was healthy with lots of roots. He even sent along a little bonus plant. It was smaller but it was a free bonus, and I know it will grow into a fine plant! I would definitely order from Jim' Hostas again.

No, you usually don't have to rewire them. (unless it's specified by the seller). They work perfectly well here(while fixtures from here wouldn't work there..as far as a dumb electrician in me understands)) Of all the fixtures, only one required a different light bulb. It was European all right, but sold by an antique shop here in States. The lady there has some amazing things, but very, very short descriptions..)) Still, it's well known and popular shop as far as I understand, due to uniqueness of many of her finds. Couple others, we had to change a lampholder, to fit our bulbs. It's not only that they were European but they were vintage too..great quality. Different sizes. Lol. Visual Comfort is great and Circa Lighting is great and Currey and Co is great and.....the list is long but then it's a totally different price range. You can buy things slowly as you go..which I do with furnishings...but you can't afford that with remodel and inspection, they want to see all the lights installed at once.
