pix choices master bath please help?

So they are in the middle of re-doing the upstairs hall (kids) bath a nd will start demo on the master on Tuesday.

The tile is Dal Tile Salerno in Marrone Chiara SALERNO MARRONE CHIARA Right now I need to decide on a ceiling light. Its a good size room roughly 12 by 15 and will have 2 recessed lights in addition to the ceiling light- and the vanity lights.

As mentioned in my previous post, this is gorgeous but much more dark and intense than I pictured originally. I will have devonshire faucets in chrome, white devonshire toilets, cherry ish vanities, and probably verde butterfly granite.

I did select these lights for above the vanities...VANITY LIGHTS

I do really like this one, but I wonder

Should I add some orb for the ceiling light fixture?

IS this too traditional or does it go well with the other selections? I think it works, but I dont know if it is too traditional.

I think the ceiling light goes ok with the vanity but the vanity light seems more sleek looking to me. Can't find the right words. I do like mixed metals but since your vanity and faucets will be in chrome I don't think I'd pick orb to be the only thing orb.

Have you looked on Bellacor's site? Your vanity light style reads more transitional style to me.

I kind of like this one. Looks like it would be a pain to clean though. It's also a little more.

Well I still haven't figured out the ceiling light. (and while I would love a fan like that -- it wouldnt work in my bathroom. but it is really really nice.) So aside from the ceiling lights, can we disuss the dreaded paint subject? The room gets tons of light. It is with my master bedroom which is painted a BM color from before they had names...(but hey it still looks great and I still like it.) it's a deep blue sort of similar to whipple blue? I just selected yosemite sand to paint the upstairs hall bathroom and it looks lovely. So any and all suggestions or revelations for me?

Thank-you for the info! Spent an hour and half at a plumbing supply showroom yesterday! Won't know until room is gutted what the current drain lines look like and if it will be easy (and not expensive) to move the toilet. Everything hinges on the toilet! haha. Picked out items that I liked but didn't order anything yet. Like the Kohler Artifacts line and the faucet is similar to your Moen's @crl. Will probably go with that line's shower head and hand held, Memoirs Stately toilet. Think it all keeps within the traditional style of the room and house and still clean lined. (liked the Grohe lines, too, but thought the Kohler Artifacts line was a better match for the room). Even picked out a drain cover--who knew there were so many choices! And no tub. In fact taking out the tub. Rarely used, gives us much more room to play with and we have two other tubs in the house.

Off-topic and please forgive....but a designer - not you OP! - posting to the world a photo of a Chicago Lake Shore Drive (ergo, super-pricey) residence with a cruddy filled wastebasket front and center?? Twice - thanks to the mirror. What were they thinking?? Sure not a good advertisement for their business. To the topic at hand, I think the swirling sand effect is very different and pleasing. And the thing about a neutral or serene effect in a bath is how easy to change the look with colored linens, a few accents, etc.

Sorry, I don't like 'ceiling boobs' for overhead lighting, so I say no based on that. In addition, though, the finish and styling of the metal seems much more elaborate and traditional, as you mentioned.

What about something like this? You did say that this is a kids' bath, right? Why not something a bit more fun? This has the shiny finish of your vanity light choice, and the curved arms echo the feel of the style without being stuffy.

I guess I was so focused on doing the links that i was not very clear--- these selections are for the master bathroom. The vanity lights have been ordered (so they are a given). My taste is basically traditional/transitional . I do like the original one I posted, just can't decide if it would stick out like a sore thumb as too traditional.
I like the first one from Sheeharee, and one from Les is really quite different from what I would picture though quite interesting-- but I think too contemporary.
What do you think of this one?

Well now that I am reading up on how to post pix like sheesharee did so nicely above for me-- I am going to post the 2 or 3 lights that are now in the running.
( I still happen to really like the first one that you all agree is more traditional than the other elements...and am pretty close to orderin git- I keep thinking even if it is more traditional its on the ceiling will it really stick out like it doesnt belong? I dont think so but I do get that there might be better choices--and so I spend my time surfing the net...)

Also to throw this off- the picture is of chrome but the item would be their empire silver finish which is sort of a muted silver-think brushed nickel-ish.

I know I am so disappointed- I followed these instructions. Maybe I will embed the links since I seemed to have been able to do that correctly.

Posting a picture from somewhere other than your Photo hosting account

Copy the following into the "Message" box where you want the picture to be:

{{gwi:1467847}}

Next, replace the http://www.XXX/image.jpg with the address of the image.

When you "preview" the message, you should see the picture

Hmm... hold your mouse under a photo in photobucket and a bunch of codes will appear. Copy and paste the HTML code in here. When you preview the pictures should show.

Thanks sheesharee- I can do the photobucket thingy (but it is so time consuming) -- the instructions I tried were for embedding the picture from another site. I guess maybe I will just have to save them to photobucket.. maybe I better start a new thread?
How did you do the pix of the tile and light fixtures? I didn't think you saved them to photobucket I thought you were doing them from the links? I am so frustrated!!!
