Help with Paint Color for my daughters' room

I've been trying to come up with a paint color for my daughters' bedroom but so far I haven't liked my choices. Their bedding is little mismatched marvelous dots and their wall is the same color as our master bedroom which is not suitable for kids. I'll like to paint the room in two colors either two walls for each color or an accent color on one wall and the other color on the other three walls. It's a pretty small room about 10 X 8. Any other ideas on decorating small spaces shared by two girls 4 and 2 would be appreciated. I need to have their room painted by Friday. Thanks in advance. See pictures below:

Their bedding is the little mismatched marvelous dots with two sides to all the pieces. So, the two beddings in the picture are the two sides to the same bedding.

Sorry, there are no pictures. I would suggest that, due to the fact the room is small, you may want to use light pastels like pale aqua and soft yellow or lavender.

Thanks Yayagal. I'm not sure what happened with the photos as they were visible when I previewed it. I'll try again. Photoshoppers, your help will also be appreciated as I can't visualize colors unless I see it and don't know a lot of the colors by name. Thanks again.

I have a 6yr old DD and her room is painted Old Rose Glaze by Pittsburgh Paints (Lowes) on upper walls with white wainscotting below. And I am getting ready to paint an old desk for her in BM Sweet Caroline. The rest of the room is decorated in pinks,purples and greens.. I will say that the ORG has a slight purple look to it. A canopy would work as long as it’s a twin. I love that look and kind of forgot to explore that option!!! And I agree, tall bureaus aren’t ideal but unfortunately it’s my only choice in this room. There’s only wall space for one horizontal dresser and she will really need the extra storage of the two lingerie chests since her closet is tiny. All of our furniture throughout our home is anchored to the wall (she’s our 3rd kid), so that will be a given. This won’t be her forever room, so trying to make do for the next five or so years until we either move or build an addition. I absolutely adore those drawer pulls 😍 thank you SO much for the recommendation!

can you sketch up a rough floorplan? we can't make many suggestions without that. off the top of my head: I would turn the bunkbed so it's against the TV wall. then switch where your bed and desk are. after that, squeeze all of the smaller furniture in wherever it makes sense. then declutter, which will majorly help you just feel better in the space. it looks like there's some stuff that doesn't necessarily need to be in a bedroom. such as that small table with first aid (or vitamins)? and the skates and cleaning supplies? can any of that stuff go somewhere else in the house? is there stuff being stored under the bunkbed that belongs to your parents? move it out so your kids stuff can be stored there. for privacy, is there any way you can DIY a privacy curtain or get somebody to help you with that? it could be accomplished with curtain wires like this, plus some cheap bedsheets or cheap curtains found on amazon. just make sure they're not too heavy. if it's pretty long, you might need to add a support in the middle of the wire with a hook screwed into the ceiling. or check amazon for privacy screens. some of them are really cheap. not beautiful and they don't get stellar reviews, but could work as a temporary solution.this one is only $57:

Look into getting a trundle to go under the bunks. That will clear the floor space during the daytime when you're working. You can buy a metal pop-up trundle. If the bunk is too low to the floor for the trundle you find, look into adding feet to the legs. If you find what you need, you can sell your bed to help cover the cost. Maybe your mattress will fit the trundle. You could also make a cheap trundle with rollers on a sheet of plywood topped with your mattress.

Which program are you using to import the pics? Try tinypic. You don't have to sign up, etc. I usually use photobucket, but began having an problem posting only one picture, thus the change to tinypic.com.

No pics for me,either, but I have some generic advice based on my own experience in choosing a color for my daughters' room.

We went with a light, but bright and tropical, blue that I was worried would be too bright. But, the girls loved the intense color, and there has been a side-benefit of choosing blue that I had not considered--- the ability to accessorize with pink. By far, the most common color for accessories for girls (bedding, knick-knacks, posters, etc.) is pink. So, they have chosen many pink things to decorate with, like a rug, lamps, bedding, bean bag, and it looks lovely with the bright blue. It has made me very glad that we did not decide to paint the room pink (which was my original idea, nixed by my daughter who, at that time, HATED pink!). Accessories in pink would have been way too much in a pink-painted room. And, I really think it would have been more difficult to coordinate different shades of blue or purple for accessories than it has been to match varying shades of pink for the accessories in the room. Finally! Thanks sherrmann. Do you have any shades or pictures or names of paints to look for. I'm very bad at colors and have to see it to know it.
