Nothing on it, but the dining room table has a bamboo runner and a clear glass vase full of wine corks. It's not a vase, but I can't think of a word for it.

I don't have a kitchen table but have a dining table in the "formal" dining room that adjoins the kitchen.Living room,dining room,kitchen are open to one another.I have an old blue teapot (missing the lid) that belonged to my grandmother with a silk flower and grape arrangement in it.Sits on a doily that is a remnant of an old lace tablecloth that belonged to DH's grandmother.Two little angels sit beside the teapot.

i have a lazy susan that holds napkins,salt&pepper,a candle,2 christmas ornaments that i haven't got around to put away yet,2 2dollar lottery tickets, 30.00 in bet money that i can't remember what the bet was or who won it,but if it is still there tomorrow i am going to claim it.

I don't have a kitchen table. Maybe if I did, the dining room table would not be covered in newspapers and magazines.

Right now? A wooden bowl with oranges in it. (One of which is starting to shrivel! LOL)

A glass bowl with fried fruits. I recently added some lemons and limes to the bowl. Must check if they're getting moldy. I want them to just dry out.

In the center of the breakfast nook table is a Longaberger basket with paper napkins in it. In the center of the dining room table is a cyrstal vase, with flowers in it. No table in the kitchen itself.

There is a double lazy susan with napkins, salt, pepper, meds of DH and
some odd and ends. Do not have a dinning room table but I do have an
old desk in our dinning room that is clutered with too much miscellanous stuff.

Napkins in a holder, red vinegar, salt & pepper, and 2 cruets of dressing. Usually there' some scattered clutter, but I cleaned everything off this morning.

A napkin holder my Dad made for me out of old horseshoes and a salt and pepper shaker set that look like seashells.

A pottery-type bowl some friends bought me from a craft fair filled with fruit.

Projects right now. Usually, a simple, large wooden bowl in a natural finish. Fill it with fake apples.

Candle and lighter, former frozen orange juice container with some cashew nuts in it (with individual yogurt cup in the top to keep moths out ... but haven't seen any in a long time. There's a pkg. of biscuits sitting atop a magnifying glass ...

... sugar bowl is just far enough back of centre that it won't quite qualify.

Some recently-emptied milk bags just far enough to the right that they won't qualify, either ... and ditto for a can of bacon grease to the left.

Small kitchen - when the chair to my left is pushed in, there is room for a slim person to move between it and the stove, but when someone sits in that chair .. forget that! Unfortunately, the fridge, that sits to the left of the stove, hinges on the right and it would be simpler if the hinge was at the left ... but even as it is, I can obtain some things from the fridge while sitting in my chair.

The entry to the stairs to the back door sticks out about a foot from the side of the fridge, so I can reach the doorknob while sitting at my chair ... and that doorway is, of course, at the west wall.

The right edge of the 29-1/2" table sits right at the edge of the door to the dining romm, so the chair sitting there juts into the path to that door, even when pushed in. As the edge of the countertop that runs all 9' 2" along the south wall juts out slightly over the door jamb, it is possible for me by stetching some to pick up a spoon from the countertop.

Old uncle never had kids ... can you just visualize a couple of kids sharing that small kitchen space with their Mom? Wouldn't that have been fun?

I have a small oak Lazy-Susan in the center of my table. It and the napkin holder were made to match my dining table.

It holds the remnants of our first stoneware set, Mikasa's "Santa Fe" pattern. There's the salt and pepper shakers, the sugar bowl (filled with Splenda packets) and creamer, a filled napkin holder, and a bottle of Hot Shot, ground red and black pepper mixed together. Sometimes I add a small bud vase and a posy of some sort.

I like that we can "pass the salt and pepper" just by twirling the Lazy Susan and all the small but needful dinner items are in one place.

The Lazy Susan is topped with a bit of a vinyl lace tablecloth (How classy is that? LOL) to hide some of the "wood" tone. When I'm "Keeping up Appearances" I replace the scrap of vinyl lace with a vintage piece of Irish linen edged with tatted lace. It has to be hand washed and starched; the vinyl lace gets a swipe with the dishrag. Guess which doily I use the most?

I don't have a kitchen table, but the dining room table has an Iris-depression era fruit bowl with bananas, and a tomato in it.

Our kitchen table has a vase filled with origami birds on wires that my daughter made many years ago.

Right now I have a big quilt that I'm going to start pinning together tomorrow morning and then quilt it. I usually have a big basket of fruit, apples/oranges/bananas and the fruit of the season.

I have a counter that divides the cooking area from the breakfast nook. Above the counter are double sided cabinets, e.g., the cabinets have doors on both sides to allow access from either side - handy.

No kitchen table. :(

Diningroom table has 3 square glass mirrors with a floral arrangement in a basket in the center.

Right now a willow tree angel and a potted gerbera daisy. The angel is always there, the flowers change every week or so.

I don't have a kitchen table and mine sounds very much like Lilliepad's. Right now on the table, I have a quilted red/white/blue table runner and a basket full of sunflowers....

Our breakfast room table has a 12-inch round wooden bowl carved out of a single piece of (maple?). Somewhere along the line someone drilled three holes in the bottom and added wooden balls on pegs to stabilize the bowl. In this I have a woven reed basket that holds either a mixture of green silk plants or a flowering plant when I have one. This bowl was my mother's, but it dates back farther than 1900. Maybe Colonial.

DR table has a round silver bowl within a circle/stand that has three candle holders. Artificial green and yellow pears in the bowl. This was a wedding present.

I'd really like to know what the wooden bowl/dish/whatever was originally used for. Maybe you'd hold it in your lap to knead dough? Any ideas? It's too heavy to use to transport anything. Very smooth inside and out.

No kitchen table, but on the dining table is a large glass candle holder sitting on an iron base. Inside the holder is a candle and potpourri. I never light the candle....anymore....it was burning one time and the potpourri caught fire. Thank goodness I was near by and able to put the fire out before any damage was done.

Microwave, counter top oven, bread machine, toaster and a big bag of dirt I was using to re-pot plants this weekend.
I had all the appliances on a big baker's rack. It was ugly and a pain to clean under/around, so I moved it into the spare bedroom for storage. Thought that would *force* me to find something smaller/inexpensive to put all the appliances on.

They're all still sitting on the kitchen table. LOL

I am going to brag on my husband a little, can I?

An absolutely Beautiful lazy susan made out of redwood. He made himself for the grand total of seven dollars. A friend gave him the scrap piece of wood and he bought the thing a ma jig for the underneath(to make it go around). Cut it out, sanded it, put it together, put a finish on it, wala...gorgeous... I have seen less nicer ones on internet for seventy five dollars or more. He just finished it this past Monday. I am so proud of it.:))

A breakfast tray and in the center of that, an arrangement of yellow flowers in an old blue and white pitcher of my Mom's..one of my favorite things. :)

Jodi, LUV your dining area and all. I've always wanted folding screens..yours are perfect for this setting.

No kitchen table either...but have a dining room table actually 2. On one is the beautiful dried arrangement my nieghbor made...and on the other one...LOL right now Sydneys grad. stuff...thank you cards now....Stacy
