Drainage issue in yard... need ideas

I was going to post this on the garden forum side, but didn't know which category to place it in... so I'm posting here.

This is on the backside of our house where we have a walkout basement. We have issues with water (along with mud) running down the slope and onto this concrete patio. The drainage pipe there is for the water from the downspout.(Ignore the charcoal starter thing... I was cleaning up the patio and moved it there.)

What will be the best and easiest solution? DH keeps digging a little ditch along the concrete, but that just fills up with mud after a month or so. Do they make some sort of narrow rubber or concrete drainage things that could run along the edge of the patio and can be sprayed clean? Or maybe some hammer-in edging would work? We don't want any thing large there (like more plants) cause we sometimes drive the truck down on the patio to load things.

TIA
