Cal King in LG Front Loader?
Comments (3)I am not being condescending at all with this post, but it depends on the comforter. I have the WM2487 both of ours are 4.0 cu. ft. but if the comforter is a flimsy thinly (forgive the description) made comforter where once it becomes wet it more like a blanket it will work. I have seen a comforter (high quality) jammed in a 3.6 cu. ft washer (would not dare mention the brand!!! lol) and all it did was get wet! There was absolutely no tumbling action at all. In order for clothes to be truly clean there has to be the crashing/tumbling/falling action going. Our master bedroom and guest room have very thick and heavy king sized comforters and I crammed the guest room comforter in my 2487 w/extra water and extra rinse, and again...all it did was spin both ways with the drum. None of the above mentioned washing action. I am almost anal about clothes being clean so maybe I place more emphasis on items being thoroughly cleaned vs. getting wet with a detergent solution, to some as long as it smells like detergent when it comes out it is clean. I guarantee you if you have stains on the comforter and it's a heavy/thick king size comforter the all the stains will not come out. Now I know I have just opened myself up to the LG and/or fldr haters on this site, but I do not believe ANY fldr or tldr will wash a heavy/thick king size comforter that I am speaking of thoroughly. Would like to see what you think though. Keep us posted!...See MoreShould I buy a Queen or King Quilt?
Comments (7)Another thought.... How long do you want it to hang down on each side? How high is the queen bed it's going on? The difference in width on the beautiful quilt you're getting is 15". That means it would hang only 7.5" longer on each side of the bed. A queen mattress is 60" wide. The king quilt is 101" wide. That means it would hang down 20.5" on each side of the bed. (101 - 60 = 41, which is 20.5" on each side.) The full/queen is going to hang down 13" on each side of your queen bed. If you have a high bed, you might want to take a tape measure and try the 2 'side hang' measurements above on your bed before choosing. (Can you tell that my work is in analysis???) âº...See MoreBed Size: King or Cal-King?
Comments (5)We had a cal king and it was a PIA to find bedding. I would go with the King, after your eye gets used to it, you won't miss those 4 inches at all. We dropped sizes from a Cal King to a Queen now THAT was an adjustment, but I love being able to stay warmer at night and the bonus is bedding is less expensive. Rule of thumb, function over form. If it will work better for you, go with the king....See MoreCal King Bed Frame?
Comments (8)I was going to suggest Room and Board as well. I don't have anything of theirs, but I've been to their store a couple of times and liked what I saw. I'm in the market for a new bed as well and liked one Room and Board option in particular, but the headboard was designed in such a way to allow the pillows to fall through or hit the wall and, IMO, a headboard should prevent that. That last bed posted by Jan would be ideal if it was entirely wood!...See MoreRelated Professionals
